Yes, the actor took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to announce his eldest son's directorial debut, which marks a collaboration between Red Chillies Entertainment and Netflix. While Shah Rukh did give fans a very minor sneak peek of what they could expect, the makers have withheld other crucial details about the project. That includes information about the cast and crew, which has caused much anticipation among fans.
Aryan Khan's directorial debut has already created a major buzz as it is said to be inspired by the life of his father, King Khan himself. This assumption is based on what people know of the project's synopsis, namely that it is the story of an outsider who not only broke into the cinema industry but also became a global superstar.

As per an official statement, the series features the film industry as its setting. Also, the multi-genre project is all set to take viewers on a bold, thrilling ride as a charming, ambitious outsider takes on the glitz and glam of Bollywood — something that is trickier than many might assume. And, of course, Aryan's doting dad, Shah Rukh couldn't stop gushing about his son's amazing project. Taking to X, Shah Rukh wrote:

"This 2025: Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment come together for a one of a kind Bollywood series produced by Gauri Khan and created and directed by Aryan Khan. Witness Bollywood like never before… on Netflix! Presenting Aryan Khan's directorial debut in an all-new series, coming soon!."
Reports that have emerged about the project allude to a high-stakes plot with self-aware humour. It is also rumoured that the series will feature blockbuster cameos and larger-than-life character, thus making for a memorable and ironic take on the film industry.
Aryan Khan's directorial attempt marks the sixth collaboration between industry giants, Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment. Their last project together was the hit dark comedy movie, Darlings, featuring Alia Bhatt. Apart from that, the companies have collaborated on the zombie horror series, Betaal, the cop-drama film, Class of '83, and the spy thriller series, Bard of Blood.
