Shah Rukh Khan is called the Badshah of Bollywood, not just for his acting chops in movies but also for his gentle and courteous nature. The King Khan of Bollywood is a complete family man and leaves no stone unturned to appease his loved ones with his chivalry. Shah Rukh Khan tied the knot with his lady love, Gauri Khan, on October 25, 1991, in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony. Soon after, the couple embraced parenthood in 1997 with their first son, Aryan and later, welcomed Suhana and AbRam in 2000 and 2013, respectively.

There have been many instances where renowned actors have ditched their girlfriends or wives to puruse and focus on their actorial careers. The Badshah of Bollywood found this very crass and commented that if someone wants, he can manage both his professional and personal life simultaneously. As per him, a person can have both, and if someone says otherwise, they are just making excuses. Speaking about the same, he said:
"I really don't understand this big sh*t about sacrificing this for my career and that for my career. I mean, why can't you have both? Why are you looking for excuses for your neglect towards your family or wife or girlfriend? And even if you have neglected your personal life for your professional one, what makes you so proud of it? You have no right to hurt people who love you."
The Jawan actor once shared his perception of maintaining a peaceful family life amidst a busy career in the film industry. In an interview with Rediff, he said many actors come to Bollywood to earn money and fame, but they must also prioritise their loved ones along with their career. He emphasised that it is very important to get in touch with reality. Shah Rukh Khan continued:
"I have a personal life. I have friends, a girlfriend, an uncle, an aunt, and a sister, and they are the most important people in my life. I am just trying to say that I do not much care for the frills that come along with this profession. I do not want to go astray and lose myself to this world like the others. I want to keep in touch with reality. I want to keep in touch with myself."
