The actor, who reinstated our faith in love and marriage, fell hopelessly in love with a girl when he was just 18.
Yes, it is none other than his wife, Gauri Khan. In many interviews, Shah Rukh has revealed that the only woman he ever dated was Gauri, and since their first meeting at a party, he was sure she would be his wife. After facing many issues in their relationship, be it their inter-religion love or his possessive nature, Shah Rukh and Gauri's love for one another had surpassed all, and the two tied the knot on October 25, 1991.

It has been more than three decades since Shah Rukh and Gauri tied the knot, but even to this date, she has been his pillar of strength. In a throwback video, Shah Rukh revealed how Gauri had protected him even when he made a lot of mistakes in his life. The video in question is taken from the show, Dus Ka Dum season 3, hosted by Salman Khan.
Shah Rukh graced the show with his co-star, Rani Mukerji. The handsome actor accepted how he made many mistakes, bad decisions, and it was his wife, Gauri, who stayed silent and protected him. In his words:
“Mujhe lagta hai Gauri ne bohut sambhala hai yaar. Bohut galtiyaan ki hain, bohut badtameeziyan ki hain... bohut ghatiyapan kiya hain, lekin kahi na kahi pe usne chup reh ke mujhko bohut sambhala hai.”

In an old interview, where Shah Rukh and Gauri had graced the talk show, Rendezvous With Simi Garewal in the year 1997, the couple had talked about the initial days of their relationship. When Gauri was asked whether Shah Rukh has always been protective, she replied that his protectiveness was more of possessiveness. She had stated:
“It was possessiveness. It has turned to protectiveness. He was disgustingly possessive, he was sick. He wouldn’t let me wear a white shirt because he thought that it was transparent. It was a kink in the mind, I think.”
After six years of marital bliss, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri embraced parenthood for the first time in 1997 with the arrival of their son, Aryan Khan. In 2000, the adorable couple welcomed their second child, Suhana Khan, and in 2013, the actor announced the birth of his youngest son, AbRam, through surrogacy.
