SRK To Have A Rs. 4,000 Crore Tower In Dubai Named After Him, Says His Mom Would've Been Proud

Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan's name is reaching new heights, literally. After being named a billionaire by the Hurun India Rich List with a net worth of approximately USD 1.4 billion in October 2025, he will now have a major international skyscraper carrying his name. With this, Shah Rukh Khan will not only mark his entry in the luxury commercial property market but also become the first Bollywood celebrity to have a tower named after him.

More details on the property bearing King Khan's name

The property is being built by Dubai-based real estate developer Danube Properties, a part of Danube Group. With plans to build the property on Dubai's Sheikh Zayed Road, the tower, called 'Shahrukz', will be a 55-storey skyscraper designed around the hanging-tower concept. The property will also offer more than 40 amenities to position it as a premium office and commercial destination within the city. Furthermore, along with the actor’s name, the tower will also feature a statue of Shah Rukh Khan at its entrance.

Shah Rukh KhanAt a launch event for the property in Mumbai, Adel Sajan, group managing director at Danube Properties, said the company aimed to get Indian buyers interested in the new tower. The tower is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2029. Adel Sajan also stated:

“The agreement we have with Shah Rukh is that this particular tower is going to have Shah Rukh’s name lifelong. This is something that’s being done for the first time. It’s going to be Shah Rukh’s tower for many generations to come. Nobody else, at least in Dubai, can have that kind of tower in the near future.”

What are Shah Rukh Khan's thoughts on the international property bearing his name?

Shah Rukh Khan was seen in his humorous self during the launch event for the property. It was also revealed that the decision to hold the launch event in Mumbai was deliberate. 'King Khan' specifically approved of this, as celebrating the milestone in his home country rather than in Dubai made it more special. He even claimed that his mother would have been very proud of him had she been alive to see this day. He further stated:

“I think it’s a very big honour, and now whenever I come to Dubai with my kids, I will point to the building and say, ‘Dekho papa ki building hai’. I think it’s wonderful, and I have been seeing the details for the project for the past couple of months; it’s all very beautiful and state-of-the-art.”
