Shahid Kapoor Clarifies His Remark 'Actor Full Of Himself' Was Not For Salman: 'Mai Ne Socha Nai..'

Shahid Kapoor recently shared his journey and how he look at Bollywood while being one of the top stars. He took a dig at some of his contemporaries, who tried to make him feel small and less important. Shahid's revelation gained much traction as he openly talked about his life journey in the world of glam and glitz. But at some point in time, his remark on 'actors full of himself' made many unhappy as they thought he was talking about Salman Khan. Now, Shahid clarified the same!

Shahid Kapoor clarified he never intended to make a remark about Salman Khan

Recently, during an appearance on Raj Shamani's podcast, Shahid shared some bold remarks about the film industry. His one particular comment grabbed unnecessary attention as he mimicked certain celebrities who walked into a room and ensured that everyone noticed them. He added that those people need to chill. Soon, netizens started speculating that Shahid was taking a dig at Salman. 

In a conversation with HT City, Shahid revealed that his remark wasn't aimed at Salman Khan. He shared that he had received messages from some people, but he was just talking randomly, and it was not aimed at anyone. Shahid further added that he would never take a dig at someone so senior to him. He said:

"Haan but mujhe ek-do logo ne message kiya aisa soch ke. Main toh honestly naa aise hi baat kar raha tha, socha bhi nahi tha. But if I want to take a dig it will never be at somebody who is so senior, so established and who I have so much respect for. Just to clear that out!"

Shahid Kapoor's comment that made people think he was talking about Salman Khan

Talking about the podcast, Shahid revealed that some people in the industry make sure that wherever they go, they show off their presence. He stated that it shows easily within 30 seconds that their intention is to make people feel about their presence in the room. But these people need to chill as they have entered a room full of people. He was quoted as saying:

"Aate hain kuch log aise, ki main aa gaya hoon types. Woh dikh jaata hai bro, 30 seconds mein pata chal jaata hai. When they enter a room they want to make you feel like they have entered the room. It’s okay, it’s a room full of people, you have also entered, chill bro. Toh woh toh hai, there are lots of people who have this."

In the same podcast with Raj, Shahid revealed that he was made to feel less important before his film, Kabir Singh, was released. In a viral clip from the same episode, Shahid was quoted as saying:

"Kabir Singh ke pehle hua tha mere saath. Mujhe aise feel hua tha, main specifics mein nahi ghusunga ke I am lesser, mujhe aisa mehsoos karaya gaya jabardasti nahi kiya kisine."
