Shahid shared that instead of focusing on perfection, continuously understanding, accepting, and respecting one another is significant in a marriage. He added that it will be a healthy marriage if one thinks about what matters to one's partner and vice versa. But, when one person will only talk about their needs, ignoring their partner, it's a recipe for disaster, and he has experienced both aspects in his life.

Shahid Kapoor reveals how he and his wife, Mira Rajput, have segmented 'Veto' in their marriage

In the same conversation, Shahid Kapoor mentioned that a big part of their marriage is that they have divided on who will veto what. Citing an example, he shared that in case his wife is not at home and one of their kids falls ill when he is at home, they will communicate, but still Mira will make the final decision. Sharing the reason for it, Shahid noted:

"Eventually, it's her decision because she has spent more time taking care of them. In the first 7-8 years of my marriage I have worked more. Now Mira started working a lot more but she has much more information. She is at the top in that aspect of the children. So, if that day I happen to be there, it doesn't mean I get a veto. We will still have to communicate, but eventually, she takes the decision."
