Bollywood actor, Shahid Kapoor is riding high on the professional front, as he received immense praise for his role in his newly-released film, Bloody Daddy. The actor is on a promotional spree and has been talking about his personal and professional life in various interviews. However, he has become the target of trolls for his recent comment on Alia Bhatt embracing motherhood at the age of 29.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Shahid Kapoor was asked to share what he would do if he meets his Shaandaar co-star, Alia Bhatt. Responding to the same, the actor said that Alia will definitely ask him a lot of questions during their meeting. However, he also confessed that he couldn’t believe that Alia is already a mother at the age of 29 and added:
“Alia is the inquisitive one, so I guess she will be asking the questions. We met recently and it’s great to hang with her. Now she’s a mother, I can’t believe she’s a mother. When I had worked with her, she was 21. Sometimes, when you spend a lot of time with somebody and then you’ve not met, you still feel they are that only. Like you don’t feel so much has happened to them."

However, it looks like Shahid's statement left a few people unimpressed, as they pointed out that his wife, Mira Rajput Kapoor embraced motherhood at the age of 21. Reacting to the same, one user commented, “Pls make him stop talking.. geez." Another user's comment can be read as “When they married, Mira was 20 and Shahid was 34. Alia is only a year older than Mira." Meanwhile, a third user wrote, “Maybe some people need to work on their comprehension skills if they find what he is saying problematic..like seriously…it isn’t about age it’s not time…people change with time, but sometimes we think that other people are same as before (which doesn’t happen)."
Well, this is not the first time that Shahid Kapoor got trolled for his controversial remark about his personal life in the media. Earlier, in an interview for the show, Spill The Tea With Sneha, Shahid opened up about his take on marriage and shared that it is about how a man gets fixed after a woman enters his life. Reflecting on the same the actor said:
“It is just one thing and is that the guy was a mess and the woman came into fix him. So the rest of his life is going to be a journey of being fixed and becoming you know, just a decent person. That’s pretty much what life is about.”

However, his statement didn't go well with a section of netizens, who ended up trolling the actor for the same. As soon as Shahid Kapoor’s video was shared on social media, people started slamming him for his statement. Reacting to the video, one user commented, “So raising a manchild, is what marriage is ??? Amazing.” Meanwhile, another one wrote, “So women are marrying projects and not partners?”
Bollywood's adorable couple, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor are everyone's favourite, courtesy of their cute banter and adorable chemistry. Married for almost seven years, the couple is blessed with two kids, Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor. For the unversed, it was on August 26, 2016, when Mira embraced motherhood for the first time with the arrival of her daughter, Misha Kapoor. And two years later, in 2018, Misha was promoted to elder sister after the birth of her baby brother, Zain Kapoor. Mira and Shahid always manage to shield their kids from the media glares, despite being a part of a star family.
