A few days after welcoming your child into this world can be exhausting yet exhilarating. With those sleepless nights, unbalanced daily chores and work schedules, embracing parenthood can be seen as a tough job more than an exciting one. But just one smile of your little one can make all the stress go away! And as you welcome a second child into your life, and suddenly you have to juggle between your two children, paying them equal attention, that’s when you realise that being a parent isn’t a cakewalk. Same is the scenario with our newbie B-town parents, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor. Shahid and Mira embraced parenthood for the first time on August 26, 2016, with Misha Kapoor, and on September 5, 2018, they became parents again to Zain Kapoor. However, things became a little bit difficult for the couple when their firstborn got down with fever and they had just brought their newborn home.

Just yesterday (September 11, 2018) a source informed a media portal, "Shahid hasn’t slept a wink for the past 30-35 hours as he is taking care of his daughter Misha who is keeping unwell. He even cancelled his shoot for India’s Best Dramebaaaz as he wanted to be there for Mira, who is currently recovering post-pregnancy, Misha and their baby boy Zain. The team of Batti Gul Meter Chalu also didn’t go."
And now, Shahid himself tweeted about the absence from his work and an update from his personal life. Shahid tweeted, “The last few days have been tough. Misha running very high fever and Zain just came home. Have had to miss some promotions. Just 9 days to go for Batti Gul meter chalu to release but being a parent is above all else. Hope to resume promotions very soon.”
On September 07, 2018, Shahid tweeted the following picture with Mira’s gynaecologist, Dr Kiran Coelho and wrote, "Thank you Dr Kiran Coelho. For being just the best." And later, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Dr Kiran talked about Shahid's tweet about her and the newbie parents. She said, “It was extremely sweet and generous of Shahid Kapoor to tweet his thanks to me after I delivered his son Zain! Mira and Shahid are this exemplary couple. They are well-informed, intelligent, down-to-earth and so much in love! Shahid was like a pillar of strength to Mira throughout her pregnancy and was in the labour room for both her deliveries, which I performed." Neelima ji also revealed how Misha reacted on having a little sibling in the house to play with. She stated, "It is definitely a sweet and exciting part in her life. Now, she has got a brother and a companion. Misha is basically a very soft and tender child. She is full of energy and fun, there is a lot of sweetness in her. Even when she goes to the beach, she will play with the puppies and babies there.. she is like that with everyone and now it is her own brother. But, of course, it is a little emotional adjustment for all the children so that will happen. But I think her parents are handling that very beautifully. They are balancing the act nicely. All the credit goes to Mira and Shahid."
Shahid is currently on his paternity leave and since Misha is not doing well, he might extend his leaves. Daddy duties do come first for any father! Recently, Mira also shared an important message for all the newbie moms, and shared what is the greatest gift that she would give to Zain. Mira shared, “I have spoken about the importance of feeding the baby in the past too. I was extremely religious with Misha and I am going to do the same with my newborn. It is the greatest gift you can give your baby. Every mother of the new-born should be happy and eat well.” She further went on to say, “Also important is to sleep whenever the kids allow you to because that will no more be in your own hand.”
Before Zain’s birth, Mira was clear with the idea to ensure that Misha never feels neglected with the second baby around. Mira was quoted as saying, “This time I already have a toddler around and keeping a balance between the one you have and the one that’s on its way is very important. Everything changes, and you don’t want that the one who has been the apple of your eyes for so long and feels that she’s the centre of your world to feel neglected and ignored. That is very important.”
On September 10, 2018, Mira also shared an Insta story thanking everyone for the good wishes. She wrote, ''Thank you everyone for all the love and blessings… Really grateful for everything.'' (Also Read: Mira Rajput Kapoor Shares A Strong Message On Breastfeeding And She Is Absolutely Right)
