Shahid Kapoor Says He Is 'Ready To Do Whatever' His Daughter, Misha Wants, 'She Has Full Control...'

Shahid Kapoor is among the most loved actors in the Hindi Film Industry. He is known for his roles in films like Kabir Singh, Jab We Met, Udta Punjab, and more. Despite being under constant media attention, he has never shied away from sharing his honest views on different issues or sharing anecdotes from his life. In his personal life, the actor is married to Mira Rajput, and the couple are parents to a daughter, Misha, and a son, Zain. Although his kids stay away from the spotlight, in a recent interview, Shahid revealed insights from his bond with his kids and what approach he and his wife have taken to parenting. 

Shahid Kapoor reveals he has a 'soft corner' for his daughter, Misha 

Shahid Kapoor has often revealed that his family is the center of his life. In a recent interview with SCREEN, the proud father shared that although he adores both his kids, he has a soft corner for his daughter, Misha. Shahid revealed that unlike his 6-year-old son, Zain, who is loud and enthusiastic, his daughter has a calmer personality and an easily make him do anything. In his words: 

"My son tries to dominate me. I think that is usually a dynamic of girls and boys. Boys are like aggressive and loud, 'Papa this and that.' But quietly, my daughter has full control over me. Without saying anything, she has full control over me. Quietly, she gets the job done, and I think girls are far better at doing that. My daughter is my soft spot. She doesn't even try that hard, but I'm always ready to do whatever she wants."

Shahid added his affection for his daughter is quite evident. At the same time, his wife, Mira Rajput, knows well that he can't say no to his daughter. As a result, she often approaches him through her when she needs to get something done. 

Shahid Kapoor reveals he believes in allowing his kids to grow as individuals

Shahid was asked about his approach to parenting his kids in the same conversation. In his response, the actor admitted that as a father, he also learns new things with time but focuses on honesty. The Haider actor revealed that as his children are growing, he observes them and tries to understand their desires, strengths, and weaknesses. However, Shahid believes it is important to let children grow as individuals while providing them support and love. He said: 

"Let children be. They are born off you, they aren't yours. They aren't your property. They are their own individual. You are just the caretaker. You just have to give them what they need."

Shahid Kapoor was last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, co-starring Kriti Sanon, Dharmendra, Dimple Kapadia, and more. He is gearing up for the release of his next film, Deva, directed by Rosshan Andrrews and starring Pooja Hegde in a key role. The actor will also be collaborating with filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj for Arjun Ustara.
