Cannes 2025: Shalini Passi Makes A Case In A Bold Manish Malhotra Longitude 77 Gown

Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives fame, Shalini Passi, is a Delhi socialite, Indian art collector and philanthropist. Shalini who has already created a space on the OTT platform has now taken Indian art and couture internationally. She took the limelight at the prestigious Cannes 2025 in a customised Manish Malhotra gown that had an Indian culture story.

A while back, Shalini took to her Instagram handle to share pictures where she was seen wearing a customised gown designed by the one and only, Manish Malhotra. The stunning gown was more than just a fashionable piece- it was an ode, a tribute to the richness of the Indian culture as well as the legacy. Paresh Maity's series inspired the artwork featured on Shalini's gown and also showcased the spirit of India, right from the Himalayas to Kanyakumari.

As seen in the pictures, Shalini is seen posing from the balcony of Hotel Martinez and looking stunning in a sleeveless navy hued gown that had delicate cascades of vivid landscapes and scenic imagery. The detailed painting and handwork in her gown showcased India's geographical landscape with a blend of art and storytelling. The dress is a collaboration of two big powerhouses- Manish Malhotra's craft in fashion, along with Maity's fine work in art. Shalini, in her caption, penned:

"Draped in India’s soul, stitched in art and heritage,” calling the gown “a canvas, blending my love for art, fashion, and India.” 

Shalini Passi completed her Cannes 2025 look with Manish Malhotra's jewellery and expressed a lot of pride in representing India internationally at the Festival de Cannes. Shalini was seen wearing customised jewellery from Manish Malhotra. She also rounded up her look with a classic clutch by Judith Leiber while her glam makeup was done by Shobhit Khuranna. Shalini was styled by Nupur Mehta with the help of Sanssgram. Her hair was done by JB Beauty Artist while Ryan Martis and M2 Foto Factory captured the visuals.

Shalini knows that fashion is a pretty powerful tool that can be taken on the global platform. Her iconic look at the Cannes 2025 was a reflection of her artistic statement. After her stint in Netflix's original, Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives, Shalini became one of the most loved stars. For her debut at the Cannes 2025, Shalini had made a power-packed statement in a customised pantsuit set crafted by Jade, curated by Monica & Karishma. The Delhi-based art collectors' look was modern, elegant, and showed off traditional craftsmanship.

Shalini's look was not just fashionable but her story was woven in threads, heritage and had layered textures. Her ivory-hued pantsuit had floral designs done in black, white and had loose threads hanging from the dress. Speaking more of the pantsuit, it had a cutout blazer that was well-tailored and had an abstract pattern design in a monochrome shade. Shalini teamed up her blazer with a white hued top along with the same coloured pants. Earlier, in an interview with  The Indian Express’ Indulge, Shalini had made a subtle revelation related to going for her debut at Cannes 2025. She had said:

"I actually have two red carpet appearances, you’ll get to know details about that very soon. One is by an international designer and the other one is by an Indian designer."
