The untimely death of Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur, has left everyone shocked. In fact, the cause of death is even more shocking as the latter accidentally swallowed a bee, whose sting made an allergic reaction in Sunjay’s body and led to a heart attack. For the unversed, the 53-year-old, Sunjay took his last breath on June 12, 2025. Sunjay was reportedly playing polo when the tragic incident happened. Now, on June 13, 2025, Sunjay’s close friend, Shalini Passi, reacted to his sudden demise.

Shalini Passi reacts to Sunjay Kapur’s untimely demise

On June 13, 2025, Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives fame, Shalini Passi reacted to close friend, Sunjay Kapur’s untimely death, who succumbed to death at the mere age of 53. In a recent conversation with Hindustan Times, Shalini said that Sunjay’s sudden demise is both shocking and saddening for her. She revealed how she met Sunjay and how their family gelled with each other after her marriage to Sanjay Passi in the late 1990s. In her words:

"The news of Sunjay’s death is sad and shocking. It makes us realise the frivolity of our life and everything that we take so seriously... In a moment everything is gone. Sunjay’s family and our family are close friends.... I have known him and his family since I got married. He was somebody who was full of life. He was very enthusiastic about things he did, whether it was his business or playing polo.... He was somebody a lot of people looked up to as a role model."

Further in the conversation, Shalini remembered how she often used to pay a visit to Delhi to meet Sunjay Kapoor and his family. She also remembered her last conversation with Sunjay and his wife, Priya Sachdev. For the uninitiated, Priya is the third wife of late businessman, Sunjay Kapur. Before Priya, he was married to popular Bollywood actress, Karisma Kapoor. Shalini shared that both Sunjay and Priya congratulated her on her grand success of Netflix’s Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives. In her words:

"I would frequently meet him and his family in Delhi. He was always with his wife (Priya) whenever I met him. My heartfelt condolences to them. Sunjay and Priya congratulated me on the success of Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives. They were happy to see me holding up for Delhi in the series. Both of them were delighted by it and were happy for me. And that’s what they had expressed to me."

The untimely demise of Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband, Sunjay, is indeed shocking. The latter suffered a heart attack while he was playing polo in the UK. What is even more shocking is that Sunjay tweeted about the tragic aeroplane crash in Ahmedabad on June 12, 2025, only six hours before his death. This thing clearly states that life is indeed unpredictable. In fact, Sunjay himself posted a similar thing on his X handle (formerly Twitter). Taking to X handle on June 9, 2025, Sunjay tweeted about his philosophy of life. The tweet can be read as:

"Your time on Earth is limited. Leave the "what ifs" to the philosophers and instead dive headfirst into the "why nots."
