After winning hearts with her stint in Bigg Boss 15, Shamita Shetty is enjoying all the love from her fans, friends and family. Shamita had faced many personal attacks inside the BB house, but she had managed to speak her heart out and impress her fans. And during that difficult phase, her sister, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, had become a pillar of strength for her. She had cheered for her and had taken a stand for her whenever it was required from outside of the BB house.
Over the period of time, Shilpa and Shamita have given us major sister goals, and their respective social media handles are proof of their unbreakable bond. The sister duo never misses an opportunity to heap praises and love on each other. However, now Shamita Shetty opened up about how she was constantly compared to her sister, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, and the personal attacks made on her.

In an interview with ETimes TV, Shamita Shetty opened up about living under the shadow of her sister, Shilpa Shetty. She shared how people thought that it was easy for her in Bollywood as her sister was a popular actress. Shamita revealed that she was constantly compared to Shilpa and added that people always expected a lot more from her. In her words:
"I am so happy that people gave me this chance to show my true self. I am so happy they kept me till the end and let me play this game my way. A lot of people out there don’t understand how difficult it has been for me in the industry. In Bollywood, it was a struggle for me and my sister Shilpa knows it. I thank everyone for giving me the opportunity to be on Bigg Boss and be myself. I am happy that I could stand by my values, principles and didn’t let the game or the house change my real personality till the end."
Shamita also opened up about the personal attacks made on her during the show, Bigg Boss 15 and said that there were moments when she had broken down in the house. She added that it was difficult for her to digest and absorb the things that were said to her. Shamita also shared that she was lucky to put herself together and come back stronger whenever she had felt broken. She said:
"There were a lot of people who came in with a preconceived notion or idea of me and they changed their thoughts about me when they got to know me. I am so happy that happened. It was very difficult and there were many times when I told myself is it really worth inflicting myself with so much emotional pain. But I am glad I decided to continue with the journey and reached the end. I am proud of myself that I managed to stick to my values and my principles."

On February 2, 2022, Bigg Boss 15 third runner up, Shamita Shetty, had celebrated her birthday. To make her day more special, her sister, Shilpa Shetty Kundra had taken to her IG handle and had shared a video that had given a glimpse of some unseen pictures of them along with a heartwarming note for her 'Tigress'. Sharing the montage of pictures, Shilpa had written with heart emoticons:
"This is how I want to see u always… HAPPY! Wishing you all that and more, my Tunki… my tigress. May this birthday unfold many happy surprises and may all your incredible dreams manifest into reality. Love you and sooo proud of you! Have a great year, my jaan, and may you be blessed with abundance always."
On Shamita Shetty's birthday, her sister, Shilpa Shetty Kundra had hosted a grand birthday bash. Her family and friends had graced the celebration. Pictures and videos from the same were making rounds on the internet. Shamita had painted the town red in a stunning knee-length sleeveless dress for her birthday bash. On the other hand, Shilpa had looked gorgeous in an orange bodycon dress, and her hair was in light curls.
On the work front, Shamita Shetty was the third runner-up of Bigg Boss 15!
