Shanaya Kapoor is one of the most hyped-about star kids in Tinseltown at the moment. On the day 3 of Lakme Fashion Week 2024, the soon-to-be debutant actress, Shanaya Kapoor walked the ramp for the designer label, AK OK by Anamika Khanna. Her outfit for the evening included a white-hued short asymmetrical dress, that featured collars and deep-open neckline. Moreover, it was embellished with black, silver and gold kundan detailing all over it. Matching with the rockstar vibe of the outfit, Shanaya accessorised herself with punk jewellery, including gold dazzler earrings, a stack of bangles on each arm and layered neckpieces. Smokey eye makeup, subtle base and knee-length boots accentuated her look.

Netizens mock Shanaya Kapoor’s ramp walk, compare it with a ‘park stroll’
Unfortunately, it seems Shanaya Kapoor has left a certain section of netizens unimpressed with her ramp walk at the Lakme Fashion Week. Taking to the discussion portal, Reddit, an internet user dropped a clip of Shanaya’s ramp walk at the event, and started to criticise her for the same. Moreover, several other internet users took to the comment section of the post and also expressed their views. They mocked Shanaya for being a product of nepotism with no real talent. Some others even took a dig at her style of walking on the ramp and compared it with a regular walk at the park. While internet user commented, “Every time she comes with a new walk and every time it's even funnier. And for the last time JUST BECAUSE A GIRL IS TALL AND SLIM THAT DOESN'T MEAN SHE CAN BE A GOOD MODEL”, another netizen penned, “Shanaya's felt like a carcass walking.”

Well, agree or not, Shanaya Kapoor is true-blue fashionista, and time and again, she proves the same with her stunning sartorial picks. For instance, back in the first week of March, the young diva joined the gala pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant held in Jamnagar, Gujarat. For the ‘Mela Rouge’ evening, Shanaya matched with the mood board of the celebration and decked up in a beautiful Indian attire. She wore a rust-hued royal-looking Gharchola saree, that ran heavily embroidered borders all over it. She teamed it with a zari-worked golden blouse. A sheen hair bun, subtle makeup and heavy jadau jewellery pieces added stars to her overall look.

Previously, in an interaction with the Cosmopolitan, Shanaya Kapoor addressed whether she feels insecure about being compared with her contemporaries in the film industry. She remarked that she does feel bad about such inevitable comparisons, even trolling for that matter. Moreover, Shanaya remarked that she tends to focus on her own career path and not her surroundings. In her words:
“I am not going to lie and say that I don’t fear things such as being compared to others or being trolled. I am human, and these things affect me. Whenever there are comparisons, I think to myself that everyone’s on their own journey. You are your own individual; what you have, no one will have, and vice versa. I think that in our industry, it is important to have healthy competition. But, I am my main competition. I am constantly asking myself if I am better today than I was yesterday or a year ago. That is how I think one’s outlook should be.”
