Bhojpuri singer, Padma Bhushan recipient, Sharda Sinha is fighting for her life. Best known as Bihar Kokila, which means the cuckoo of Bihar, the 72-year-old is known for her beautiful voice. She has been hospitalised at AIIMS-Delhi since October 25, after her health deteriorated due to Multiple Myeloma. It is a form of cancer that affects the bones. Now, Sharda's son, Anushman, took to his YouTube channel to give a quick health update on his mother.
Anshuman Sinha, had gone live on his YouTube channel and said that his mother is in a lot of pain. He has urged his fans who perform, Chhath Puja to do the same. He revealed that she was on a ventilator and requested everyone to pray for her. Anshuman, also revealed to trust his information, which was credible and not to trust anyone who put up wrong information. He had said:
We are all praying that mother somehow survives. Her life should be saved. She is also in a lot of pain. So I request all of you who are listening and those who perform Chhath Puja to include her in your prayers. She has given a very long time for her country and state. Therefore, it is important that she should get some more time. Just thank you for now, I will be present as and when things happen.''
Anshuman, had confirmed the news that his mom, Sharda was fighting for her life on a ventilator. He had given the consent. However, he wants her fans to pray for her as she is going through a challenging and arduous journey. He also revealed that when he had met the doctors recently, they showed that Sharda's case had worsened and that they were trying their best.
Sharda is best known for singing, Kahe Toh Se Sajna from Salman Khan and Bhayashree's movie, Maine Pyar Kiya. Her song, Taar Bijli from Gangs Of Wasseypur also gave her a lot of recognition and not to forget Babul Jo Tum Ne Sikhaya, from Hum Aapke Hain Koun. The song will leave you teary-eyed even if you listen to it right now. Her other famous songs have been Kelwa Ke Paat Par Ugalan Suraj Mal Jhake Jhuke, Hey Chhathi Maiya, Ho Dinanath, Bahangi Lachakat Jaaye, Roje Roje Ugelaa, Suna Chhathi Maai, Jode Jode Supawa, and Patna Ke Ghat Par.
