In an interview with Bhanu Pathak, Amit Jain revealed that the business deals in the show are hundred per cent real, but the cheques given out in the show are fake. On being asked if they on the show itself they sponsor or give out money to the pitchers, Amit Jain revealed:
“Woh cheque toh nakli hote hai bhai!”
The investor further added that the cheques in the show are specially made for the episodes and are not actual ones linked to the investor’s bank account. The cheques are custom-made with the investor’s company name, and details are mere props in the show. Amit Jain added:
“Woh symbolic cheque hote hai. It’s not linked to my account. It has the format made by Shark Tank. It’s personalised, the company name is there, my signature, my amount but not my bank account! The cheque signifies that a deal has happened. Then the due diligence happens, papers are called, whatever you said on the show will be verified.”

Amit Jain revealed that behind the camera, they are not competitors, so they get along a lot. Namita is like the mother of the group who brings food for everyone. While Aman brings his speakers, and they all have a gala time in between shoots. In his words:
“Namita (Thapar) gets her home cooked food. She’s like the ‘mother’ in the group. So we munch on her food, there’s a small pantry. It’s a small area but there’s a lot of fun that keep happening. Dance, music, Aman (Gupta) gets his speakers, plays music on full volume and people dance. On the show you’re competing, not when you’re in the lounge.”
