And while being on Amitabh Bachchan's show, Kaun Banega Crorepati, Sharmila made a cutesy revelation about the same, which speaks volumes about Sara's love for those classy pair of earrings. Sharmila said that she gave that pair of earrings to Saif's first wife, Amrita Singh, when Ibrahim Ali Khan was born.

The veteran actress, Sharmila Tagore also stated that those earrings in terms of their family legacy, should be in the possession of Ibrahim's wife, but 'someone' has taken them. To this, Amitabh asked if it was Sara, and Sharmila nodded to say 'yes' and hilariously added, "Like Ibrahim has nothing to do with it. How is that possible?" thereby leaving everyone in splits. Sharmila can be quoted as saying:
"When Ibrahim was born, I gave my earrings, which I wore for my wedding, to Amrita as that when Ibrahim grows up, it will be for his wife. Guess who has taken it?"
During the promotions of her then-upcoming film, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Sara Ali Khan once revealed the interesting story behind her possession of a pair of chanbalis from Sharmila Tagore. The actress mentioned that she has a written declaration from her grandfather, wherein it's stated that that pair of earrings belongs to her only. Talking about the earrings, Sara said that she is captivated by the beauty and charm of those classy pieces.
