Sanjay Leela Bhansali's web series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, was released on Netflix in May 2024. The project created a stir among the audience and received mixed reviews. Most of all, the filmmaker's niece, Sharmin Segal, who played the role of 'Alamzeb', failed to impress with her acting chops. She was mercilessly slammed for her boring expressions in the OTT project.
Among all this, a new video of Sharmin Segal has surfaced online, wherein she was seen giving an interview with Aditi Rao Hydari and Sonakshi Sinha. In the clip, Sharmin was seen getting into a disagreement with Aditi over her statement about actors. In the now-viral clip, Sharmin was heard saying:
“Actor ki jaat insecure hoti hai.”

However, Sharmin's statement didn't go down well with Aditi, who immediately disagreed with her and interjected, “Nahi but actors are human beings.” Sharmin further tried to clarify her stance and mentioned that she would like to leave Sonakshi out from this assumption because she feels that the latter is the most secure person. She also said that insecurity brings out the best in every actor and added:
“If you’re not insecure, I mean, let’s leave Sona out of this because Sona is the most secure person I know. But genuinely, insecurity main bhi koi jaadu hoti hai. If you are not insecure then you’re not pushing yourself to a certain limit. Insecurity main maza hai.”
Meanwhile, Sonakshi couldn't contain her laughter and her expressions caught everyone's attention. Once again, Sharmin's statements did not sit right with Aditi Rao Hydari, and the latter didn't hesitate to voice her opinions on the same. Reacting to Sharmin's comment, she said:
“No no, insecurity is horrible. No, I don’t like it.”

Soon after the video was shared on Reddit, netizens were quick to notice how Aditi and Sonakshi’s expressions changed when Sharmin spoke. They flooded the comment section to troll Sharmin and penned hilarious comments. A user penned, "Aditi's eyeroll and "chalo chhod deti hoon" expression", another wrote, "Sonakshi was so funny in this one. She could not contain her laughter." Meanwhile, a third user mentioned, "Sharmin is so embarrassing."
