Rohit Purohit reveals he wishes to have a baby girl with a mix of Sheena and his qualities

Rohit Purohit, who is playing the role of 'Armaan Poddar' in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, sat down with his wife, Sheena Bajaj, for an interview with the Times Of India and expressed his joy over expecting their first child. Sheena shared that she conceived at the end of January after they celebrated their 6th wedding anniversary. Since her husband, Rohit, who is fond of kids wanted to have children from a long time now, he is delighted over the news. The actress also mentioned that when they decided to expand their family, they didn't anticipate that it would take a lot of time. Rohit chimed in and recalled his first reaction to the joyful news. He said: 

"I was in shock at first. Once the news sank in, I had tears of joy in my eyes. I couldn't react properly and had to leave for a shoot. We waited for the doctor's confirmation and the sonography."

Rohit added that he wanted to be a father since the day he married Sheena and now he feels that his dream is coming true. He mentioned that he hopes to welcome a daughter whose personality is a perfect blend of him and Sheena. The actor, who is excited to be a parent, expressed his belief that time will teach him about how to take care of their little one. In his words:

"I'm hoping for a daughter, one with a nature that's a perfect blend of Sheena's and mine. I'm excited to take care of her. While I feel mentally prepared to be a father, nothing can truly prepare you until the baby arrives. I guess time will teach me everything I need to know."

Sheena Bajaj shares she was bedridden during the initial three months of her pregnancy

In the same conversation, Sheena Bajaj shared that her initial days of pregnancy were tough. The actress, who felt elated over her positive pregnancy reports, shared that the feeling of being pregnant began to sink in after she passed the five-week mark in her pregnancy. However, Sheena, who is in the fourth month of her pregnancy, admitted that the initial three months were difficult for her due to extreme nausea, vomiting, and fatigue. As a result, the Best Of Luck Nikki actress was bedridden for more than three months. Recalling the phrase, she said: 

"I didn't expect the symptoms to be so intense. I've gone through several surgeries before, including a period when I was paralysed before working on Vanshaj, but nothing was as painful as this phase. I think the pregnancy took a bit longer due to my PCOD, which led to infertility and other complications. I'm actually quite scared. It requires a lot of strength, especially getting through the first few weeks. Rohit is absolutely thrilled. Every day, he talks to the baby, asking it to come soon, but I tell him to be patient and let the baby take its time (laughs!)."

Rohit Purohit and Sheena Bajaj made the special announcement about expecting their first child together in a special video with a pink theme for their outfits and decor. Sheena wore a ruffled pink dress, and Rohit donned a blush pink coat. They held a small board and poster to reveal that they would soon become parents. Seeking the good wishes of their fans, the duo penned:

"Need your prayers, and blessings with samples. Bless us; that's all we need. Praying to God for strength and courage to face the motherhood chapter of my life. Please pray my journey sails smoothly. Sharing the biggest news with my fans in the initial months of pregnancy."
