Television actor, Sheezan Khan, best known for his roles in Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul and Jodha Akbar, has broken his silence on the idea of finding love again, years after the tragic passing of his ex-girlfriend, Tunisha Sharma, who died by suicide in 2022. In an honest and emotional revelation, the actor shared that he is no longer chasing romance and is content in his solitude.
In a heartfelt conversation with Telly Talk India, Sheezan Khan reflected on how his life has been these days, after the heartbreaking events of 2022, when he lost his former girlfriend, Tunisha Sharma. When asked about whether he is looking forward to finding love again, Sheezan revealed that he no longer has the urge to find love, adding that he is content in staying single. The actor said that he doesn’t believe in forcing love and wants things to happen naturally. He was quoted as saying:
"Ab hota hi nahi. Akele hain toh kya gam hai, ab hain toh hain. Mai bhi uss cheez ke peeche nahi bhaag raha. Mohabbat ab zabardasti toh nahi kar sakte. Jab hogi kisi se, kisi ko hum se, toh dekhenge.”
When Sheezan was asked whether he could move on from the heartbreak following the tragic demise of Tunisha, the actor agreed and responded:
"Mai toh aage bad hi chuka hu, honestly.”
Tunisha Sharma was only 20 years old when she died by suicide on December 24, 2022. The actress was Sheezan’s co-star in Ali Baba, and was deeply in love with him, her social media feed filled with cutesy moments of them together and even with their families. Tunisha was found hanging on the set in Sheezan’s makeup room, following which her family filed a case against the latter.
Tunisha had a promising career ahead, with roles in shows like Internet Wala Love, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, and films like Fitoor and Baar Baar Dekho, where she played the younger version of Katrina Kaif. Following her death, Sheezan was arrested under section 306 of the IPC for abetment of suicide. After spending two and a half months in jail, the actor was granted bail by the Maharashtra court on March 4, 2023.

After his release from jail, Sheezan Khan shared an unseen video with the late Tunisha Sharma on his Instagram handle. The heartwarming clip showed the two enjoying each other’s company, with Tunisha playfully teasing and posing with Sheezan. Alongside the video, Sheezan also penned a heartfelt Hindi poem dedicated to Tunisha. In the emotional verses, he referred to her as an angel and spoke about the silent storm she carried within her, one that she kept hidden from the world under her bright smile. A part of his poem read:
"Ek paree utaree phalak se shafaq kee laalee lie kahakasha zaisee usakee aankhen gazab kee adaen lie, khudako dekha bhee nahin, khudako pahachaana bhee nahin, takabbur hota hain kya yah usane jaana hee nahin hava kee taraha aayee voh par hava kahee thaharatee nahin."
Sheezan Khan’s most recent work was in the daily soap, Chand Jalne Laga, where he played ‘Dr Arjun Singh’. His portrayal of ‘Ali Baba’ in Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul remains his best-known work.
