In a tragic turn of events, Kaanta Laga actress, Shefali Jariwala, who was also in Bigg Boss 13, passed away on June 27, 2025. Her sea of followers and family members were shocked, and initial reports suggested that the actress had a cardiac arrest. The Mumbai Police then took up the matter, and Shefali's body was immediately sent to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem. Now, according to a latest report by Money Control, Shefali's post-mortem reports have come out.
The entertainment industry was shocked to see that actress, Shefali Jariwala passed away. Now, a recent report by the publication stated that Shefali's autopsy was conducted at Cooper Hospital in Vile Parle West, and the report has been kept reserved. The exact cause of the death of actress remains unclear. The mystery related to how Shefali passed away has not yet been solved. Sources close to the publication stated that the actress suffered from epilepsy and reportedly was also on anti-ageing pills. A police official told the publication:
"An autopsy has been performed on 42-year-old actor Shefali Jariwala’s body, and the opinion about her cause of death has been “reserved”
The report also stated that as the exact cause of the demise of the actress has not yet been out, an accidental death report has been filed. It was at 1 a.m. on June 28, 2025, when they got the information that Shefali had passed away. Her body was then taken to Mumbai's civic-run hospital named Cooper. It was on June 27, 2025, when Shefali was taken to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital located in suburban Mumbai by her husband, Parag Tyagi. It was around 11.15 p.m. that the late actress was taken to the hospital, but the source close on duty shared that she was dead on arrival. After this, a police team, along with a mobile forensic team, was seen at Shefali's Golden Rays-Y building. The official also added:
“The autopsy has been done, but the opinion on the cause of death has been reserved. Based on preliminary information, it appears to be a natural death, and there was no foul play."
It was on the evening of June 27, 2025, that the actress reportedly collapsed in her 11th-floor home of Golden Rays located in Shastri Nagar, Lokhandwala complex, Andheri (W). Shefali's husband, Parag, aged, 49, then immediately took her to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital, which is near the D.N. Nagar Metro station. By the time the actress was got to the hospital, she had passed away. The report also stated that, as per the standard procedure, the autopsy performed on the actress was also videotaped.
The doctors at Cooper Hospital have not yet commented on Shefali's cause of demise. However, the report also shared that her blood and viscera samples were preserved for further forensic tests. However, nothing of suspicion or foul play was seen, but further investigations are being carried. Sources close to the publication also stated that the cops have recorded the statements of eight people, including that of Parag and the domestic staff that was present at Shefali and Parag's house. Dixit Gedam, who is the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 9, revealed:
