Shefali Jariwala, one of the much-loved actresses, left everyone in shock when she passed away suddenly on June 28, 2025. The entire incident left people in shock at the unpredictability of life. Shefali was a kind soul, and she was known to all as the Kaanta Laga girl, a title she wished to carry forward until the end of her time. The glimpses from her last rites left us utterly shaken. Shefali's husband, Parag was visibly broken, while her ex-husband, Harmeet Singh expressed his grief about the actress's passing to Vickey Lalwani. Now, Shefali's ex-brother-in-law, Manmeet Singh, too, took to his social media handle and reacted to the shocking news.
Taking to his IG handle, Manmeet Singh dropped a post for Shefali Jariwala, expressing his grief and shock about the sudden demise of the actress. Manmeet posted a photo of the actress, and wrote that he doesn't know why God called the actress back so soon. He further wrote that he would cherish the moments they had spent together. Adorably calling her 'Shef', Manmeet wrote:
“Rest in peace, Shef. Only god knows why he called you back so soon… Will always cherish the amazing moments spent with you… May Waheguru be with you on your onward journey."
Talking to Vickey Lalwani, Shefali Jariwala's ex-husband, Harmeet Singh reacted to the shocking news of the actress's demise. Harmeet was in Europe when this conversation took place, and he said that the entire fact is shattering. For the unversed, Harmeet and Shefali got married in 2004, and it was 5 years later, in 2009, that the duo parted ways.
Talking about the actress's sudden demise, Harmeet said that he remembered attending a show in Bangladesh, where he met Shefali, and having a long conversation with her. Following this, Shefali and Harmeet would bump into each other at events and would greet each other warmly. He further expressed his shock over the entire incident. He also released a statement on Shefali's demise and offered condolences to the grieving family of the actress.
The reason for Shefali Jariwala's demise was not clear initially, even though some of the reports claimed that it happened due to a cardiac arrest, it wasn't confirmed. Her mortal remains were sent to the Cooper Hospital for postmortem. However, on the evening of June 28, 2025, the autopsy report came out, as reported by Money Control. The same report revealed that Shefali reportedly had epilepsy, and she was on anti-ageing pills. While nothing of such information has been confirmed, police told the same publication that the opinion about her cause of death has been “reserved”, while it was also revealed that it was a natural death and no foul play was involved in this.
