Farhan Akhtar is one of the most talented figures in the Hindi film industry, who not only won hearts with his scripts but also left people going gaga over his strong grasp of acting. Farhan got married to Bollywood hairstylist, Adhuna back in 2000, with whom he has two daughters, Akira and Shakya. After 16 years of marital bliss, Adhuna and Farhan separated. And years later, the actor met Shibani Dandekar. The duo dated for a while, and they got married in 2022.
Recently, Farhan Akhtar and Shibani sat for a conversation with Rhea Chakraborty on her podcast, wherein she praised the actor's ex-wife, Adhuna. Talking about Farhan's two daughters, Shibani stated that her approach was quite simple, and it was that she would always be there if the kids needed her or her parents required her to be by their side. She praised Adhuna and called her an incredible mother. Shibani mentioned that she doesn't get involved in parenting as the kids have incredible parents. Shibani added:

"My approach was pretty simple. They have an incredible mother, they have an incredible father, the rest of us are just here to kind of fill in and support wherever we can. That’s the way I see my role. Whatever the girls need, whenever their parents need my help, however they need that help, I am here for that.”
In the same conversation, Farhan Khan shared that he feels guilt about his divorce from Adhuna, as their daughters were collateral damage during the same. Explaining it, Farhan added how it was hard to be in a relationship that, in front of their kids' eyes, was fine but was being fractured. Farhan added the anger, resentment, and questions must have pilled up in his and Adhuna's daughters' minds, and thus he feels guilt about the same.
In the same conversation, Shibani Dandekar shared that she was called a gold digger for marrying Farhan, and also their relationship was tagged as 'love jihad'. The actress mentioned that the comments from outside never really bothered her as she herself knows that she is not a gold digger. She said:
"When I started my relationship with Farhan, it used to be love jihad and gold-digger. These were the two main things that people used to say to me. What am I supposed to do with that? I am not going to cry myself to sleep just because people are saying these things. I am not a gold-digger."
Shibani stated that she and Farhan are very happily married and wouldn't actually care what people have to say about them and their relationship. Farhan also talked about the same and stated that people come to comment on social media, and their intention is to hurt them, thus they won't take it seriously.

In the same conversation, Shibani Dandekar revealed that she and Farhan had gone to couples therapy before or after their engagement. She revealed that, in fact, two days after their wedding, they went to couples therapy, which left the therapist shocked. The actress further added that it's like a gym, and one has to work on it on a regular basis.
