Shilpa Shetty Clarifies On Shutting Down Bastian Bandra, Claims Received Many Calls, 'New Chapter..'

Shilpa Shetty's premium seafood restaurant, Bastian Bandra, has been a celebrity hotspot with many top Bollywood stars visitng their favourite eatery and paparazzi waiting outside to catch a glimpse of them. However, recently, Shilpa Shetty announced on her Instagram account that the iconic spot of Bandra, Mumbai, was shutting down. But as the news of her restaurant closing down spread like wildfire, Shilpa has now clarified whether Bastian is going to be permanently closed or if there are future plans.

Shilpa Shetty addresses the news about Bastian Bandra closing down and talks about people's love for the restaurant

As people started pouring out their love for Bastian Bandra after it was announced that the restaurant would soon be closing its services, Shilpa Shetty took to her Instagram handle. She promised that the iconic restaurant would not be closing down. Additionally, Shilpa also mentioned how she has been receiving thousands of calls and can feel how much people love Bastian. However, she warned people not to turn their love 'toxic' and clarified that even though Bastian is closing in Bandra, two more exciting ventures are on the way. In the Insta video, Shilpa said:

“No, I am not shutting down Bastian. I promise! But one thing’s for sure, I can feel the love for Bastian. But don’t turn this love toxic. Bastian is going nowhere. So yes, with a heavy heart, we have closed one chapter. But two new stories are waiting to be written.”

In the caption of the same video, Shilpa Shetty further mentioned that although Bastian is closing its shop in Bandra, a new South Indian restaurant, Ammakai, will be opening soon in the spot. Meanwhile, her premium seafood restaurant is relocating to Juhu and will open as Bastian Beach Club. In her caption, Shilpa Shetty wrote:

“Bandra Bastian was the root to our tree called Bastian Hospitality, like a tree blooms new fruits our favourite Bandra restaurant is giving way to a new one called AMMAKAI, South Indian Mangalorean cuisine taking me back to my roots. Your Favourite Bastian is going to Juhu, with the name of Bastian Beach Club. So BASTIAN is staying, going nowhere!!!!!”
