Shilpa Shetty has shown her acting mettle in films like Sukhee, Dhakan, Baazigar, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Life In A Metro and many others. Recently, she appeared in the web series, Indian Police Force, co-starring Sidharth Malhotra, Vivek Oberoi, Isha Talwar and others. Besides being a stunning actress, Shilpa is a loving wife to her husband, Raj Kundra, and a doting mommy to their children, Viaan and Samisha. Now, the actress has opened up about the importance of her family in her life and professional field.
In a recent interview with ETimes, Shilpa Shetty opened up about her family's contribution towards her stunning acting career. She talked about her Bollywood journey and emphasised the pivotal role played by her family. She mentioned that her collaboration with director, Rohit Shetty was due to the influence of her son, Viaan. Elaborating more on it, Shilpa shared how Viaan has an admiration for Rohit. Moreover, her collaboration with Rohit was long overdue, considering a previous offer for the film, Golmaal. Thus, getting inspired by her son's wishes, Shilpa signed the movie with Rohit and performed the role of a character, enduring injuries during action-packed stunts.

In the same interview, Shilpa credited her family, especially her husband, Raj Kundra, for her immense success in the film business. Expressing gratitude for Raj's contribution to her success, Shilpa mentioned that her husband is her pillar of strength. Moreover, she shared that her baby girl, Samisha, also loves what her darling mommy does. Shilpa said:
"I have to give credit to even Raj, who has truly been my pillar of strength. I have done so much more since being married. I have been able to do that because he has supported me and is extremely proud of me. My three-and-a-half-year-old daughter also knows and loves what I do. She understands that I'm famous. I'm grateful for this recognition, and I'd be worried if people didn't come up to me."
Further, Shilpa explained what all went parallel with her hard work to reach where she is standing today. She mentioned her mother, Sunanda Shetty used to travel with her, so much so that her parents didn't get the chance to spend their own time. Moreover, Shilpa mentioned how Sunanda couldn't be present with the actress' younger sister, Shamita during her childhood. And now that she had reached the peak of her career, she thanked them from all her heart and stated:
"We worked so hard for it, but without my family's support, this wouldn't have been easy. My mother has travelled with me for most of her life, to the extent that my parents didn't have a life of their own. My sister, Shamita, who was so young, barely had our mother around her. Even my children today see me working so hard. Now, I'm in a position to choose based on the work I am offered. I also have so much gratitude in my heart for being blessed with children who understand and are so proud of what I do."

Shilpa is a complete family woman, and often, she gets spotted spending time with her close ones. For instance, on November 27, 2023, Shilpa and her husband, Raj visited Gurudwara along with their kids, Viaan and Samisha on the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Dev's Gurpurab. In a video from their visit, the actress could be seen fixing her daughter, Samisha's dupatta over her head. The little one looked adorable in a red-coloured suit. On the other hand, Shilpa donned a white-hued kurta with a red dupatta, whereas the father-son duo looked dapper in their respective outfits.
