October 24, 2021, marks the celebration of the auspicious festival of Karwa Chauth. Both married women and brides-to-be are all decked up in their ethnic attire and are observing a day-long fast for the long life of their husbands. Every year, the festival is celebrated with great pomp and show by the members of the Bollywood industry as well. Celebrities from both Bollywood and the television industry share lovely posts on their social media and their special attires give fashion inspiration to all the women.
And just like every year, Shilpa Shetty is all set to celebrate Karwa Chauth this time as well. For the unversed, Shilpa Shetty Kundra had tied the knot with the love of her life, Raj Kundra on November 22, 2009. Together they are blessed with two kids, Viaan Raj Kundra and Samisha Shetty Kundra. For 11 years, the nation has witnessed Shilpa keeping Karwa Chauth fast for her husband, Raj.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Shilpa shetty shared a video of a basket of goodies sent by her husband, Raj Kundra’s mother. She posted the video clip along with a ‘Happy Karwa Chauth’ sticker. The actress could be heard saying:
“That’s my sargi from my mum-in-law. Happy Karwa Chauth to everyone.” In the video, we can see a hamper containing dry fruits, fruits and snacks, and many other things. Along with it, there was a note that could be read as “Happy Karva Chauth. From mum and dad. May God bless you.”
On October 24, 2021, Shilpa Shetty took to her Instagram handle and wished everyone a happy Karwa Chauth. She shared a picture of herself, decked up in a red and gold kurta. Along with it, she wrote:
“Wishing you all a happy Karvachauth and happy fasting ladies... May you and yours be blessed with health, protection and abundance always. #karvachauth #fasting #rituals #traditions.”
The actress also shared an IG story featuring her and her fasting friend, Akansha Malhotra. In the post, we can see Shilpa and Akanksha dressed in red ethnic wear and smiling as they posed for the camera. Along with it, she wrote, “#FASTFRIENDS @akankshamalhora #SOULSISTERS #KARVACHAUTH.”
Last year, Shilpa had shared a video of her Karwa Chauth puja with her husband, Raj Kundra, on her Instagram handle and had revealed that he fasts along with her. Along with it, she had penned down a beautiful note which can be read as:
“Today was dedicated to the man who is a true representative of who a ‘partner’ should be. He fasts with me (since 11 years), stands by me through thick and thin, and makes life beautiful in the most amazing ways imaginable. Thank you for everything, @rajkundra9. I love you, Cookie. Happy Karva Chauth!”

On October 23, 2021, Shilpa Shetty Kundra was spotted at the Gateway of India, taking a speedboat to Alibaug for a weekend getaway with her kids, Viaan Raj Kundra and Samisha Shetty Kundra, and mother, Sunanda Shetty. While Shilpa was spotted wearing a blue playsuit, her kids were dressed in their casual dress. However, her husband, Raj Kundra was not spotted anywhere, which had led to the speculations that Shilpa Shetty might skip Karwa Chauth this time for obvious reasons.
For the unversed, Shilpa's husband, Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai police for his alleged involvement in the production and publication of adult content films. It was after two months of his arrest that on September 21, 2021, Raj Kundra was released from jail. Since his arrest, it is reported that Shilpa has been planning to part ways with her husband because of his illegal wealth.
On the professional front, Shilpa will be next seen as a judge on the reality show, India’s Got Talent.
