It was on February 21, 2020, when Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Raj Kundra had given a pleasant surprise and had announced that they have completed their family. Their firstborn, Viaan Raj Kundra got promoted to ‘big brother’ and the Shetty-Kundra had welcomed a baby girl in the family. Shilpa and Raj had embraced parenthood for the second time with the arrival of their daughter, Samisha Shetty Kundra and in March, they had taken the baby home. March 26, 2020, marked the completion of 40 days of Samisha Shetty Kundra’s arrival in this world. To make the day special, Shilpa Shetty Kundra posted the first-ever family picture with her hubby, Raj Kundra, son, Viaan Raj Kundra and daughter, Samisha. Shilpa captioned the picture as “Samisha Shetty Kundra completes 40 days today. The first milestone for a mother and child, revered in Hinduism.”
Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s caption could be further read as “Ideally, as a ritual we would have “stepped out of the house for the FIRST “time and taken her to a temple for blessings, but as things stand today don’t have that option. Hence, will seek blessings at our mandir at home. It only makes me realise that there are so many other things we should be grateful for even if some things don’t go as per plan. So, for the next 20 days, I’m going to document one thing that I’m grateful for EVERYDAY. Starting with TODAY, I’m so grateful for just having a healthy family by my side. When Samisha Shetty Kundra had turned one-month-old, Shilpa Shetty Kundra had posted a glimpse of her baby angel. Posting a glimpse of her family, hubby, Raj Kundra, son, Viaan Raj Kundra and daughter, Samisha’s hands, Shilpa had written, "Your first milestone, my princess Samisha... Happy one month to you. Love you to the moon and back."
In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, Shilpa Shetty Kundra had revealed that she and her hubby, Raj Kundra were trying to conceive from the past five years. She had stated, “We had been trying for second child for five years. I had signed Nikamma and had committed my dates to Hungama when I got the news that in February, we were going to be parents again. We cleared our work schedules for the whole month.” To welcome Samisha at home, Shilpa and Raj had decorated the home with pink balloons and a baby girl cake.
Announcing her baby girl’s arrival, Shilpa Shetty Kundra had posted a glimpse of her little hand holding her mommy’s finger. Shilpa had written, "Om Shri Ganeshaya Namah! Our prayers have been answered with a miracle. With gratitude in our hearts, we are thrilled to announce the arrival of our little Angel, Samisha Shetty Kundra. Born: February 15, 2020. Junior SSK in the house! ‘Sa’ in Sanskrit is “to have”, and ‘Misha’ in Russian stands for “someone like God”. You personify this name - our Goddess Laxmi, and complete our family.
