Shilpa Shetty Moves Away From Vivek Oberoi In A Viral Video, Netizens Question, 'Why Did Shilpa...'

Vivek Oberoi is an Indian actor and businessman. The actor is the son of veteran actor, Suresh Oberoi. He started his acting journey in 2002 with the crime film, Company, for which he won two Filmfare awards. However, his acting career remained a rollercoaster ride, pushing him towards business. 

Shilpa Shetty moved away from Vivek Oberoi in viral video

Shilpa Shetty, Vivek Oberoi and Siddharth Malhotra came together to promote the TV series, Indian Police Force in 2024. The action-thriller series was created and directed by Rohit Shetty and Sushwanth Prakash. While the series is considered one of the best in the Indian cop universe, an incident during the promotion of the same has left netizens unhappy.

The video from last year was shared on the discussion platform, Reddit and showed Shilpa Shetty standing on stage with Siddharth Malhotra. However, as soon as Vivek Oberoi joined Shilpa Shetty, the actress decided to switch places with Siddharth Malhotra. Siddharth noticed the sudden switch as well, as he was soon seen wrapping an arm around Vivek's shoulder. Nonetheless, the clip made netizens wonder if Shilpa didn't want to be clicked with the actor.

For the occasion, Shilpa was seen dressed in a mint green saree with a red and blue border. The actress paired the look with a full-sleeved red high-neck blouse. Vivek donned a black turtleneck with matching pants and a red and black colour-block overcoat. Siddharth, on the other hand, looked dapper in a blue sweater that he paired with a cream-coloured pantsuit. 

Netizens react to the video

The video was posted on Reddit with the caption, "Why did Shilpa do that?? Guys, I need tea. Is this because of Sallu (Salman Khan)?? Is this because Vivek is doing something? What is happening?" Soon, netizens started to chime in and share their opinions. A user wrote, "Had Vivek been wearing a mask or an overhead bag, she wouldn’t have moved." Another user penned, "She is just insecure that his hair is more silkier than hers." In a long note, a user stated:

"That's just plain disrespect. Even if you don’t talk to someone, you still gotta keep it professional at work. No wonder shes married to someone like Raj Kundra, she fits right in."

However, some users came forward and gave Shilpa Shetty the benefit of the doubt. A user wrote, "They’re both wearing red, so she decided to put the guy wearing white in the centre. This sub has become so obsessed with tea that a few of you are going to end up becoming PM." Another user penned, "I think she just did it to break the colour monotony.. aesthetics are important." A Redditor even shared a picture with Shilpa in the centre and wrote, "OMG THAT IS SUCH BS, SHE CHANGED PLACES FOR ANOTHER PICTURE." A user in a long post wrote:

"How so many people are finding it real. In first glance I was able to understand that she moved that side to bring Sidharth in center, not to move away from Vivek."
