“That was my comeback.”
Karan Johar further went on to mention how most of Shilpa Shetty's films performed well at the box office. Shilpa was quick to retort that when her movie, Dhadkan did well, she tried to reinvent herself by doing something different again with the film, Rishtey. However, people and the media left no stone unturned to degrade her and make her feel bad. In Shilpa's words:
“Dhadkan did very well. After that, I tried to reinvent myself by doing something different again with Rishtey. But very conveniently, people forgot about all of that and degraded my body of work. I don’t know why. Either the media take it upon themselves to make me feel bad.”
