Shilpa Shetty, known for her enduring beauty and fitness regime, was one of the leading actresses of her time. Raj Kundra, a British-Indian businessman, was another fan of Shilpa who got lucky in love and married her on November 22, 2009. Fast forward to now, the lovebirds are proud parents to two little munchkins, Viaan Raj Kundra and Samisha Shetty Kundra (via surrogacy). Over time, the little ones have become the most adored star kids in Bollywood.
August 11, 2022, marked Janmashtami, and on the special occasion, Viaan and Samisha were decked up in the beautiful Radha-Krishna avatar. In a video uploaded by their mommy, Shilpa on her IG handle, we could spot Viaan adorably performing the dahi matki todh ritual. While he looked cute in a green kurta paired with a beautiful mukut, his sister, Samisha stole the limelight in a green lehenga.

On August 29, 2022, Shilpa Shetty took to her IG space and uploaded a reel, announcing her son, Viaan’s big business venture, VR KICKS. The proud mommy talked about her ten-year-old son, Viaan’s customised sneaker business. She explained how he executed the idea as a director and started the company like a true-blue entrepreneur. Moreover, she showed us a pair of animal-printed, specially customised sneakers, which Viaan gifted to his mom from his first-ever business venture. The price of the sneaks starts from Rs. 4999 and goes beyond. In the video, Viaan mentioned that the proceeds from his business would go to Shilpa Shetty Foundation. Alongside the video, she penned:
“My son Viaan-Raj's first and unique business venture, @vrkickss 'creating customised Little children and their big dreams must always be encouraged. From the idea & concept of the venture to the designs and even the video... it's all him! Entrepreneur and director. What's amazing is that at this tender age he has promised to donate some of the proceeds towards charity Y He's just 10! @ This GenZ has surprised mumz. SO PROUD! All the best, my son.”
Shilpa Shetty’s life had turned upside down in July 2021 when her hubby, Raj Kundra was arrested by Mumbai police for allegedly producing and distributing pornographic content. During the trying time, Shilpa was mainly worried about their kids, Viaan and Samisha. In an old interview with the Hindustan Times, the actress had talked about the most challenging phase of her family and how she had overcome it. Revealing that her kids were the only purpose of her life to fighting back, she had stated:
"I have always believed that in life, you have to find a purpose. Even in the chaos, my purpose was my children and will always be them. Stepping out in difficult times, with a brave front, to go back to work was only to show my kids, [especially my son] because he is at an age where he understands things."

Soon after Raj Kundra’s arrest, Shilpa was seen on her shooting sets, fulfilling her work commitments. Seeing the actress work, a section of society had mercilessly trolled her for working while her husband was behind bars. In the same interview, Shilpa had opened up about her decision and shared that all she wanted was to set an example for her son, Viaan. In her words:
"I wanted to show Viaan that even in difficult circumstances, you have to have work ethics, and have to rise like a phoenix. He has learnt through me, and I hope I am able to give them the values our parents inculcated in us. For me to get out there and start working was teaching my son through practice. You are never prepared for hardships in life. They suddenly hit you, but they make you stronger. I didn’t know I was strong, but it’s a good feeling to know I can combat anything now."
