Malayalam Actor, Shine Tom Chacko's Father Passed Away In A Road Accident, Actor Hospitalised

Shine Tom Chacko is a well-known actor in the Malayalam film industry. The actor worked as an assistant director with Kakkothi Kaavile Appoppan Thaadikal filmmaker, Kamal for almost a decade before he made his debut as an actor in the 2011 film, Gaddama. Known for his fabulous portrayal in films including Ee Adutha Kaalathu, Chapters, Annayum Rasoolum, Masala Republic, and Jigarthanda DoubleX, among others, the actor has built a big name for himself. However, a tragedy struck when he met with an accident in the wee hours of June 6, 2025.

Shine Tom Chacko's father died in a road accident

Shine Tom Chacko lost his father to a tragic accident that took place in the early morning of June 6, 2025. The actor was travelling to Bengaluru from Thrissur in a car for a medical checkup of his father, CP Chacko, but little did they know that the journey would turn into one of the most upsetting memories for the Chacko family. The accident took place in Dharmapuri district after the family's car collided with a stationary truck.

According to several reports, the accident took place near Palacode in Dharmapuri district. The 41-year-old actor, Shine Tom Chacko, who was travelling from Thrissur, a small city in the state of Kerala, sustained severe injuries in the mishap. The police later revealed that Shine Tom Chacko and his family members were travelling to Bengaluru from Thrissur when the car's driver, Anis (42) lost control of the vehicle near Paraiyur at Palacode in Dharmapuri district. The front portion of the car was completely damaged in the collision. However, the biggest loss for the Chacko family came in the form of the demise of CP Chacko on the spot.  

The actor was also accompanied by his brother, Joe John Chacko and the actor's manager, Anis. They also sustained significant injuries in the incident. Upon receiving the information about the collision, the Palacode police rushed to the spot and rescued the injured. They were soon taken to the Dharmapuri Govt Medical College Hospital for further treatment. The body of Shine Tom Chacko's father, CP Chacko was sent to the morgue at the Dharmapuri Govt Hospital for an autopsy.

Shine Tom Chacko was born on September 15, 1983, in Thrissur, Kerela. He is the son of CP Ckacko and Maria Carmel. The actor completed his B.Com degree from St. Thomas College, Thrissur, before joining the film industry as an assistant director. He has since built a name for himself and is one of the most loved actors in the Malayalam industry. He is a family man and often poses with his parents for some adorable pictures. On the work front, Shine Tom Chacko will soon be seen in The Protector, Aaraam Thirukalpana, Velleppam and Paradise Circus. The actor was last seen in Bazooka and Alappuzha Gymkhana.
