Former Pakistani cricketer, Shoaib Akhtar, who is also known as ‘Rawalpindi Express’, is amongst the prominent fast bowlers in the world of cricket. He bid adieu to the turf after the 2011 Cricket World Cup and then rose to prominence due to his other endeavours, which included writing a book, hosting shows and his YouTube channel. In his personal life, the former cricketer got married to Rubab Khan in 2014, and the couple welcomed two sons, Mohammad Mikaeel Ali in 2016 and Mohammad Mujaddid Ali in 2019.
Recently, Shoaib Akhtar took his official Instagram account to share a piece of good news with his fans and well-wishers. He announced the arrival of his third child, a daughter, into the world. On March 1, 2024, the former Pakistani cricketer posted an adorable picture with his newborn. Shoaib revealed that his baby girl was born during the Jumma prayers. He captioned the post as:

“Mikaeel & Mujaddid have a baby sister now. Allah taala has blessed us with a baby daughter. Welcoming Nooreh Ali Akhtar, born during Jumma prayers, 19th of Shaban, 1445 AH. 1st of March, 2024. Aap sab ki duaon ka talab gaar- Shoaib Akhtar.”

In the post, the 48-year-old mentioned that his sons, Mikaeel and Mujadid, are now brothers to a baby sister, whom they have lovingly named Noreeh Ali Akhtar. Shoaib Akhtar asked for prayers from his well-wishers. His IG post featured a cutesy picture of the father with his newborn baby angel. While the cricketer was seen in a black sweater and an LV beanie cap, Noreeh was wrapped in a printed swaddle as she was sound asleep.
As soon as Shoaib Akhtar shared this piece of good news with his fans and followers, netizens started penning down their best wishes for the Akhtar family. One user wrote, “Congratulations Rawalpindi express.” Another one said, “Lagta hai sab cricketers ne mil k decide kia hai k is saal sb bachy kry gy.” A third comment can be read as “MashAllah Allah Pak Naseeb bout achy Karain.”

Previously, there were speculations that Shoaib Akhtar was once madly in love with Bollywood actress, Sonali Bendre. Some reports even claimed that the former Pakistani cricketer used to keep a picture of Sonali in his wallet. Moreover, reports also suggested that once in an interview, Shoaib Akhtar stated that he had a huge crush on the Indian actress and he would even kidnap her if she rejected his marriage proposal. When all these reports went rife, the Pakistani cricketer revealed his side of the story and slammed all the publications that had reported such false news. However, he had said that he became a fan of Sonali Bendre when he learned about her cancer battle.
