Shoaib Ibrahim Shares An Update On Dipika Kakar's Health, Says, 'Darr Lagta Hai Hamesha Ke...'

For almost a decade, Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim have been among television’s most loved couples, not just for their public appearances, but because of the way they have carried their relationship. Months ago, Dipika's life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. And now as the Sasural Simar Ka actress is undergoing her treatment, her husband, Shoaib has shared an update on the same. 

Shoaib Ibrahim admits he is scared for Dipika Kakar’s health

Recently, Shoaib Ibrahim took to his Instagram stories to have a quick ‘Ask me anything’ session with his fans. During that fun segment, a fan asked him about Dipika's health update. To which Shoaib shared that she has just submitted her blood samples for a regular check up and the couple is now waiting for the report. He continued to mention that he is very scared as to what will be in the report. He was quoted as saying:

"Dipika's health update ye hai ki kal hum gaye the hospital blood sample dene ke liye, kyuki 3 mahine baad phir 2 mahine baad bola tha. Toh abhi 2 months complete ho gaye the and reports kal aayengi. Ye waqt aisa hota hai jo darr lagta hai hamesha ke I hope sab accha ho. Bas jaisa bhi hoga, reports aayengi toh main aapko bataunga."

Dipika Kakar was diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer

For those who don’t know, Dipika Kakar’s cancer journey began with persistent stomach pain that led to a medical checkup. Doctors took a liver test, and the reports confirmed it as stage 2 liver cancer. Soon, her treatment started and in June 2025, the actress underwent a complex operation to remove the tumour. 

After the surgery, her treatment continued and she is recovering. Apart from this, in one of her recent vlogs, Dipika shared in her YouTube vlogs that she has caught a viral infection. Regarding the same, she had shared:

"Ruhaan se infection mujhe lag gaya. Aur mere case mein infection thoda zyada severe ho gaya kyunki main treatment pe hoon, aur uss time pe aapki body ki immunity thodi low hoti hai. Doctor ko jaise hi call kiya unhone antibiotics start ki. Bohot heavy dose ki. Aur anti-allergic bhi start ki hai, toh uss wajah se woh bohot heavy padh raha hai."

Dipika Kakar was born on August 6, 1985, and she rose to fame with the TV show, Sasural Simar Ka. Later, she appeared in Bigg Boss 12, where she emerged as one of the strongest contestants. Reportedly, before acting Dipika worked as a flight attendant. On the other hand, Shoaib Ibrahim is also an actor, who played the role of 'Prem' in Sasural Simar Ka. Over the years, he did multiple serials and reality shows. 

Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim's relationship started on the sets of Sasural Simar Ka, and the couple tied the knot in 2018. In June 2023, they welcomed their son, Ruhaan. The couple often shares family moments on social media and YouTube. When Dipika was diagnosed with liver cancer, Shoaib stood as a strong pillar and made sure his wife was fine.
