Shobita Dhulipala Was Once Replaced By A Dog For Being 'Confident', Netizens Say, 'Wordplay Or...'

Sobhita Dhulipala has, on several occasions, caught our attention with her dreamy eyes and gorgeous smile. The actress has been living her love story since marrying the Tollywood star, Naga Chaitanya. The couple has made the headlines for several reasons. However, this time it was Shobita who grabbed the attention of the netizens with her statement from an old interview. 

Shobita Dhulipala was replaced by a dog for a brand shoot

Shobita Dhulipala has been all smiles lately. However, it has not always been roses and sunshine for the actress. An old interview from 2024 that went viral on social media featured Sobhita making a surprising revelation. The Monkey Man star revealed that she was apparently replaced by a dog for a brand shoot. In the clip, Shobita can be seen talking to Neha Dhupia along with her Made in Heaven co-star, Jim Sarbh. The actress revealed that she was called at 11:30 at night for an audition. She stated:

"I was called at 11:30 at night for an audition, and I thought it was just creepy. I go and audition, I get told 'You have been cast'. I go to Goa. Not Thailand or Australia, but Goa."

Shobita Dhulipala further shared that while the first day of the shoot went well, there was some issue with the camera, and they had to reschedule. She added that the behaviour of the clients changed the next day, and they were extremely rude to her. She revealed that they thought that Sobhita didn't suit the brand's image because she was confident and later replaced her with a dog. She stated:

"The client saw the footage, and they are like, no, the girl is not working. She looks confident which doesn't suit the brand image much. So they replaced me with a dog."

The anecdote attracted a bewildered reaction from Jim and Neha, but Shobita Dhulipala said she was fine because she had at least been paid for the assignment. However, netizens didn't hold back from sharing their views once the video was shared on the discussion platform, Reddit. A user stated, "It means..she didn't budge for producer casting couch approach, then they replaced her role to someone who bends for producer ..that's what analysed from this conversation." Another penned, "Wordplay or what....(definitely she ain't talkin' bout dog)."

Another commenter wrote, "These people should stop talking in cryptic or metaphorically. Just simply tell it as it is." A Redditor said, "Teri Meherbaniyan wala song yaad aa gaya…" A user in a long note commented:

"I didn't find anything wrong in the story she narrated...She was called at 11:30 PM, IT folks are like.. Yeah so that's normal, right?? Then she, in a sarcastic tone, said that she went to Goa, not Australia or whatever... So, the clients wanted to shoot in Goa... What's wrong with that??? Why should they take you overseas??? They shot and realized that she wasn't the right character for the brand, so they paid her and said bye... What's wrong in this story except the faces that she is making??? I don't think they meant that she is 'confident'. I think they said that she is being arrogant."
