Shocking Twist In Sunil Pal's Kidnapping Case: Audio Clips Raise Questions About Its Authenticity

The kidnapping case of actor-comedian, Sunil Pal has taken a dramatic turn with new revelations that question the authenticity of the kidnap. After the comedian made his safe return home from his alleged kidnappers, viral audio clips, alleged threats and even Sunil’s own statements have raised concerns whether his kidnap was real, or just a publicity stunt.

In case you missed the backstory, popular comedian, Sunil Pal, had gone missing on December 3, 2024, allegedly after attending his Mumbai concert. After 24 hours, the comedian returned back home and claimed that he was kidnapped under the guise of a concert invitation and later released after paying a ransom of Rs. 8 lakhs. Recently, two audio recordings surfaced on social media, allegedly featuring Sunil Pal in conversation with his so-called kidnappers.

The first audio is a confrontation between Sunil Pal and an unidentified person, who accuses Sunil Pal of not fulfilling his part of an alleged plan. Sunil responds defensively, claiming:

“I did not do anything. If the media were after me, I would have said something. I did not complain… No complaint was made. The media along with cyber crime people took out all this. Save yourself now and do not talk about meeting now.”

The viral audio has raised speculations that the dialogue exchanges could be a planned narrative rather than a genuine abduction. Sunil released another audio after this, confirming that it was his voice in the first audio. The comedian also claimed that the kidnappers recorded the conversation to threaten him. Sunil said:

“The kidnappers have all his details. They are threatening to kill the family. I said whatever they said.”

In an interview with Aaj Tak, Sunil stated that his kidnappers had forced him to say what they instructed by holding a gun on his head. Earlier, shortly after Sunil’s safe return, he had exclusively shared with BollywoodShaadis if he wanted to pursue the matter further with Mumbai police, as he had been threatened. He told us:

The timing of Sunil Pal’s kidnapping incident raised eyebrows

The timing of the kidnapping incident has also raised eyebrows, coinciding with the release of Sunil’s film, Coffee with Alone, directed by Azad Hussain. Many have argued that the kidnap might be a calculated move to increase Sunil’s audience reach before his film’s release. However, the actor denied such claims and stated that he was being targeted unfairly.

Police investigation updates on Sunil Pal’s kidnapping case

Meanwhile, police authorities are leaving no stone unturned to get to the bottom of Sunil’s abduction mystery. Up till now, the police have already detained six suspects for questioning, but four of the primary accused are still in hiding. SSP Vipin Tada from the UP Police confirmed that the viral audios are being forensically analysed. Meanwhile, authorities are also exploring links between Sunil’s case and the alleged kidnapping of Bollywood actor, Mushtaq Khan.
