The popular Indian actress and presenter, Shonali Nagrani is all over the headlines after she confirmed the reports of her troubled married life. The glamourous actress revealed that she and her estranged husband, Shiraz Bhattacharya, have decided to part ways, and the divorce proceedings are going on in the court. In a recent interview, the actress shared the heartbreaking news, shocking her massive fanbase. However, she admitted that she is way too content in her life despite such turmoil on the personal front.
In a heart-to-heart conversation with ETimes, Shonali Nagrani talked about her separation from her estranged husband, Shiraz Bhattacharya and revealed the reasons behind it. The actress admitted that she and Shiraz had already separated in early 2019. Revealing the reason behind such a big step, Shonali admitted that they were facing a lot of irrevocable differences in their marriage. Despite their continuous efforts, they failed to make sense to each other, and as a result, they decided to part ways. She said:
"My husband and I parted ways in February 2019 and the divorce proceedings are going on."

Further, in the same interview, Shonali Nagrani admitted that it wasn’t an easy decision for her, as she recalled the time when she was emotionally destroyed. The actress explained how she was so mentally exhausted from her marriage that she could not focus on herself, her family and her work. As a result, everything came crashing down for the actress, who was trying to pick up the pieces but failed miserably. Not only this, Shonali also admitted that she felt worthless and doubted her abilities and questioned her self-esteem. It was indeed a traumatic phase for Shonali, and she struggled a lot, but she made it through with time.
In the interview, when Shonali Nagrani was asked to reveal how she overcame such a bad experience. In response to it, the actress shared that after some time, she realised that whatever happened wasn’t all her fault. This was why she chose to pick herself up and decided to work on her personal growth and turn her adversity into a blessing with constant efforts. Shonali also spoke about taking a break for five long years from work, after her marriage to Shiraz Bhattacharya in February 2013. The actress revealed that when she was restarting her career in the entertainment industry, she found it hard and even thought of leaving Mumbai.

In the interview, Shonali Nagrani revealed that she has been single for the last four years, and she is loving every single moment of it. When the actress was asked whether she misses being with a partner, Shonali said, ‘Yes’, but also added that for her, it is momentary. The glamorous actress shared that she might have developed trust issues and hinted that it would be hard for her to trust someone with her feelings all over again. Recently, the actress is also getting a lot of attention for posting bold pictures on Instagram. Shonali is hands-down one of the boldest actresses in the industry, and her IG handle is proof of the same.
