Shots Fired Outside Disha Patani's Bareilly Residence, Goldy Brar Gang Claims Responsibility

Bollywood actress, Disha Patani has found herself at the centre of a terrifying incident after shots were fired outside her home in Civil Lines, Bareilly, late Thursday night. According to police reports, multiple rounds of gunfire were heard around 4:30 a.m., including two aerial shots. Fortunately, no one was injured in the attack. The shocking incident has been linked to Canada-based gangster, Goldy Brar’s gang, who openly claimed responsibility through a social media post that surfaced shortly after the firing.

The message, written in Hindi, was circulated on social media and named two individuals, Virendra Charan and Mahendra Saran, as being behind the attack. In the note, the group claimed the firing was carried out as ‘punishment’ for Disha Patani and her sister, Khushboo Patani for allegedly insulting revered spiritual speakers, Premanand Maharaj and Aniruddhacharya Maharaj. The statement extended the threat to the entire film industry, warning that anyone who insults their religion or saints would face similar consequences. The post read:

“Jai Shri Ram. Ram Ram to all brothers. I, Virendra Charan, Mahendra Saran (Delana). Brothers, today the firing that happened at Khushboo Patani/Disha Patani’s (Bollywood actress) house (Villa No. 40, Civil Lines, Bareilly, UP), we got it done. She insulted our revered saints (Premanand Ji Maharaj and Aniruddhacharya Ji Maharaj). She tried to demean our Sanatan Dharma. The insult of our deities will not be tolerated. This was just a trailer. Next time, if she or anyone else shows disrespect towards our religion, then no one in their house will be left alive.”

Police response to the firing at Disha Patani’s house

Authorities confirmed that multiple rounds were fired outside the actor’s residence and acknowledged that they are investigating the authenticity of the social media post. Bareilly police officials said that they are tracing the individuals named in the message and verifying whether the claim has a direct link to the incident or not. While Disha Patani has not yet made an official statement, her younger sister, Khushboo Patani, reacted to the situation earlier, acknowledging the firing and calling it ‘deeply disturbing’.

The controversy behind this event is being reported to be related to remarks made by Khushboo Patani. She had spoken out strongly against spiritual leader, Aniruddhacharya and his comments on women and live-in relationships. In his statement, Aniruddhacharya had reportedly implied that women who remain unmarried after the age of 25 or are in live-in relationships are often promiscuous. Khushboo lashed out at the comments, calling them misogynistic and harmful. She said:

“He says girls who are above the age of 25 and stay in live-in relationships, woh 4 jagah mooh maar ke aati hai (they go from one person to another). If only he was around me, I would have made him understand the meaning of the words he has used against women. They are anti-national. You should never support b***** of the highest orders.”

However, Khusboo's remarks were later misinterpreted and circulated online, with false claims suggesting they were targeted at Premanand Maharaj. This fake narrative appeared to have fueled anger among certain groups and allegedly led to the firing outside Disha’s home. As of now, police are working to trace the source of the social media post and identify those directly responsible for the incident. Authorities have assured that security has been tightened around Disha Patani’s residence and that her family’s safety is a top priority.
