Popular actress, Shrenu Parikh and her actor-boyfriend, Akshay Mhatre are on cloud nine as they are all set to tie the knot in December 2023. Now, in an interview, the actress and her Ghar Ek Mandir – Kripa Agrasen Maharaj Ki co-star, Akshay opened up about the same and expressed their happiness. For the unversed, it was during a promotional event in Lucknow for her TV show, Maitree, when Shrenu confirmed her relationship with Akshay, and in March 2023, they got rokafied.
In a joint interview with the Times Of India, Shrenu Parikh and Akshay Mhatre revealed that they would get hitched to each other in December 2023 at her hometown in Vadodara, Gujarat. Talking about the same, she also expressed her excitement about becoming a Gujarati bride. She shared:
“Yes, it will be a winter wedding. I am excited to become a Gujarati bride and the wedding will take place in Vadodara, my hometown. Akshay never formally proposed to me. But one day, he said he could not wait to get married to me and I knew that we were heading towards something substantial.”

In the same conversation, Akshay mentioned how he and his ladylove, Shrenu are completely opposite to each other. While he is shy type, the actress is completely different. However, they are perfect for each other. Further, revealing details about their wedding, Akshay mentioned that their wedding would be a traditional one. Afterwards, they would also host a function for their friends and family in Mumbai. He said:
“I don’t like cheesy proposals, so we never had anything formal. But ever since we started dating, we both knew that we were headed towards marriage. After we spoke to our families, the dates were fixed. It will be a wedding complete with all rituals. We will have a function in Mumbai, too. I am an introvert while Shrenu is full of energy. In many ways, she completes me. I feel we strike a good balance and that’s the best part of our relationship. I look forward to spending my life with her."
Further, speaking about their bond, Shrenu mentioned that she shares a beautiful friendship with Akshay. Talking about the same, she quipped:
"There is a certain calmness that Akshay brings to my stormy soul. Our friendship is the base of our relationship. Our likes and dislikes, goals are the same. When we got together, we knew that we were meant to be together."

At the end of the conversation, Shrenu revealed her excitement to become a beautiful bride soon. She added how her loving partner, Akshay takes care of her and expressed:
"Every girl dreams about marriage and I am blessed to have another family now. They encourage me to chase my dreams and follow my heart. I love his family a lot. I always wanted a partner like him love the way he takes care of me. I feel blessed and look forward to our wedding in December.”
