Shreya Dhanwanthary Revealed She Starved For Three Days For An Audition, Netizens Strongly React

Shreya Dhanwanthary is one of the stunning actresses of her generation. She has already etched a beautiful place in millions of hearts with her acting prowess in several films and TV shows, including Why Cheat India, The Family Man, Scam 1992, Mumbai Diaries 26/11 and others. Apart from this, she also turned into an author for a book titled Fade To White. In addition to her records, Shreya was ranked 43 on The Times of India's "Most Desirable Women List" in 2020. However, she too, had to go through a fair share of struggle. 

Shreya Dhanwanthary opens up about her struggling phase

Now, we stumbled upon a video from one of her interviews with Varun Duggi for his podcast, wherein Shreya Dhanwanthary opened up about her initial days in the industry. For the unversed, Shreya began her journey in the entertainment industry by working on a few modelling projects. Thus, recalling the time, she was heard telling Varun, "I had to go for a hair audition to Lower Parel. And I remember if I took an Uber, I was not going to be able to afford any meal that day. I knew I couldn't go in the local because even though it would be efficient and cheap, but I had to look nice. So I would take the Uber and then I would go and then I would not eat. You realise very quickly that you're like a hanger." Listening to her, the host of the show added, "Your value becomes how you look physically." Thus, adding to it, Shreya explained how her condition had become then, and stated:

"And this is the third day I haven't eaten and I'm fainting at this point. I'm like I would kill for a Rs. 5 dairy milk."

Shreya Dhanwanthary on not being able to afford food for three days for her audition

In the same video, Shreya went on to explain that afterwards, she went inside the audition, and she saw a gorgeous lady with whom she was competing for the position. However, looking at that anonymous lady, Shreya realised how worthless she looked over there despite being complimented by the people present. And it was all of a sudden that the lady finally offered her Rs. 5 Dairy Milk, which became her first meal in the last three days. She narrated:

"And I walk into the audition and they're like, Oh shit, you look so good. And then when I was going out, there was the most beautiful creature that I have ever seen in my life walks in through the doors and she looks perfect, just flawless and I'm like I am competing with this person to get that job. There's no way, and she was complaining about something that was happening there, again, she's glowing so I'm like Oh my God, I'm seeing a Goddess. And she's like 'Oh, this is so tacky. I mean I found this outside but this, I am never going to touch it. Do you want it?' And she gave me a Rs. 5 dairy milk. Can you believe that. And I took it and finally this was like the first meal I had in three days, the Rs. 5 dairy milk. And then I quit modelling."

As soon as Shreya's video was posted online, netizens started reacting to it. Many of her fans mentioned that her journey is indeed inspirational. However, many others commented that she was actually making up a bit of the stories after gaining stardom. One comment read "Why do people have to fake struggle stories? She didn’t have money to buy a Rs. 5 Dairy milk ? She is a graduate from NIT warangal, her parents worked in Dubai …"

When reports claimed Shreya Dhanwanthary was dating Abhimanyu Dassani

While Shreya was working on her film, Nausikhiye, along with Bhagyashree's son, Abhimanyu Dassani, reports were rife about the duo's dating. Although Shreya and Abhimanyu prefer to keep their personal life under wraps, as per a report on Zoom, they were seeing each other then. The report claimed that the two actors came close to each other while they were on a one-month-long schedule in Bhopal for the shoot. In addition, the report stated that Shreya and Abhimanyu are quite serious about each other. However, neither of them spoke about the same thing.
