The superstar behind the famous label Shriya Som, Shriya Bhupal recently got engaged to an NRI guy named, Anindith Reddy who belongs to the Apollo Hospitals family. For the ones who don’t know, Shirya is the granddaughter of Hyderabad tycoon Dr GVK Reddy (her mom, Shalini is his daughter). Shriya is a prominent fashion designer and Anindith is a national racing champion and an entrepreneur. Well, there is no denying to the fact that Shriya and Anindith’s wedding is going to be the most lavish and ‘grand weddings’ of all times. Imagine the couple whose pre-wedding functionalities and pre-wedding shoot took place in Paris; how grand their wedding would be? Shriya and Anindith’s engagement took place in April in Hyderabad and the two will walk down the aisle on July 6, 2018.
In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla South, Shriya opened up about her wedding with Anindith and also revealed the details about her wedding outfit. The bride-to-be will be wearing Elie Saab on her wedding and revealing the reason behind choosing this label, she said, “Elie Saab has been my dream from when I studied at parson the new school of design and a part of the aesthetic of my brand Shriya Som is majorly influenced by Elie Saab. Sharing the inputs regarding the trousseau she gave to the designer, Shriya said, “As a designer keeping the fit, finish and the entire quality of the garment is what I look for and mainly that the garment fits my personality as well as I how I feel in it. I would never change the design of the particular designer I chose to wear since I would like them to stay true to their own aesthetic.”

Talking about her look and her bridal accessory, the elated bride-to-be revealed, “I decided to have fun with the looks! Each look has a different theme for it which I work on with Namrata Soni. E.g. the soirée a more boho bride with a touch of Indian, my Marchesa reception gown is more of a classic look etc.”
When asked if she will be wearing any of her own label on any function, she said, “Yes, I am wearing a yellow lehenga from my label for the 4th brunch which is an “Indian Renaissance” theme at home. The inspiration for the flowers come from Daisy ’s, sunflowers, daffodils. So, tonnes of bright happy yellows, offwhite and whites, highlighted with delicate French knots and Swarovski crystals. She also revealed that she will be wearing an antique jewellery, which her mom gave. Here’s what she said, “I’ll be wearing antique Gadwal Jewelry that’s an heirloom from my dad’s side of the family, as well as a Gadwal sari.” Lastly, she also talked about how Anindith has influenced her life and if she is having any pre-wedding jitters, she said, “I’ve known Anindith all my life. We were in the same grade from the 5th till we went to college.
