The South star, Shriya Saran has proved the mettle of her acting in Bollywood too. She has been widely known for her brilliant performances in South Indian cinema, Bollywood and American cinema. Her blockbuster movie, Drishyam made her a household name. However, this time, it is her personal life that is making the headlines as she announced the birth of her daughter a year later.
Shriya Saran and her husband, Andrei Koscheev, are parents to a cute little baby girl. Shriya had surprised her fans on October 11, 2021, after she had announced the news of welcoming a baby girl back in 2020. The actress had shared a cute video and had written, "Hello people, we had a crazy but the most beautiful 2020 quarantine. While the whole world was going through a beautiful turmoil, our world changed forever…. To a world full of adventures, excitement and learning. We are blessed to have an Angel in our life. We are so grateful to god!"

As Shriya Saran managed to hide her pregnancy and daughter’s birth for almost a year, in an interview with ETimes, she revealed how she managed to keep it all a secret. She said, “I just wanted to be healthy and enjoy the process. I wanted to concentrate on this beautiful journey and experience every moment of it the way it is meant to be. I didn’t want any scrutiny or anyone telling me how I should look or behave.”
Shriya also shared that she wanted her pregnancy to be about her and her baby. She added, “The whole time when I was pregnant and during delivery, it was my time with the child and I wanted to keep it to myself. I wanted to be able to go for a walk without having to worry about people constantly looking at me. It was important for me to keep it to myself and not share the news till I was ready. Now that I’m back and ready to get back to work, I feel like I’m ready to share this wonderful news with the rest of the world.”

Talking about her pregnancy journey, Shriya Saran said, “Pregnancy is such an intense process and it has so many ups and downs. You have good moments and there are times when you feel very emotionally drained out and tired. I did a lot of yoga. I was dancing everyday; I did a lot of Kathak. I also went on long walks and kept pushing myself to be healthy and safe.” On the other hand, her husband, Andrei added, “We had a rule. She could have either ice cream or hot chocolate. Shriya always wanted to have both!”
In the same interview, Shriya Saran had revealed the unique name she had picked for her firstborn. The newbie mother had stated that she had selected the name 'Radha' for her daughter and had shared that her husband, Andrei Koscheev loves their daughter’s name. She had said, "We have named her Radha. My husband Andrei loves the name."
