Recently, Shruti's appearance sparked her plastic surgery rumours. The actress was seen arriving at a party with her beau, Santanu. They gave out the International celebrity vibe, as Shruti donned a black-hued see-through dress. She donned glamorous makeup with black lipstick and a stylish hairstyle. On the other hand, her beau, Shantanu looked dapper in a long black-hued coat.

The video was shared on the discussion platform, Reddit, and netizens called out Shruti Haasan for her plastic surgeries. On the other hand, some netizen compared her to Kylie Jenner. One user wrote, "She has had surgeries but it's a stretch comparing her to Kylie. Here the resemblance is coz of makeup and styling I feel. Leaving aside the blown-out exposure and filter on her face." Another commented, "Shruti had surgeries but pre-surgery Shruti and current aren't that different as Kylie is. Likes of Kylie Ariana and Kim have changed their race itself."
In the world of glam and glitz, where celebrities avoid answering questions about plastic surgeries, Shruti owned it up like a boss. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Shruti talked about the reason that made her got plastic surgery. She added that it was her choice that she opted for a nose job as it was broken, and she didn't like the way it felt.
In 2020, Shruti even posted a long note about her plastic surgeries and confessed to getting it done. An excerpt from her note could be read as:
"I'm happy to say this is my life, my face and yes, I've had plastic surgery which I'm not ashamed to admit. Do I promote it? No. Am I against it? No. It's just how I choose to live. The biggest favour we can do for ourselves and others is just be and learn to accept the changes and the movement of our bodies and minds."
