One of the powerful names in the world of cinema, Amitabh Bachchan, needs no introduction. Son of the veteran poet, Shri Harivansh Rai Bachchan and social activist, Teji Bachchan, Amitabh was born to shine. Amitabh Bachchan shared a warm bond with his parents and has always quoted them as his source of inspiration.
It was Teji Bachchan, who had introduced Amitabh to the world of theatre. To mark his late parents, Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan’s wedding anniversary in January 2021, Amitabh Bachchan had penned a heartfelt note on his Twitter handle. Sharing a throwback picture of his beautiful mother and one with him and his father in the frame, Big B had tweeted, "Past the midnight of the 23rd and the 24th has begun... the Wedding Anniversary of Ma and Babuji. 24th January 1942... a marriage that broke barriers, systems created the acceptance of the name Bachchan, beyond caste and creed... and brought me into this wide world."

On August 11, 2021, Amitabh Bachchan's daughter, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, shared a throwback picture of her grandparents, Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan from her archives. Penning a miss you note, Shweta captioned the picture as "The poet & his poetry - my grandparents. You are sorely missed."
In 2019, Shweta had revealed all things she learnt from her dadi, Teji Bachchan. Sharing a picture of Teji Bachchan with Abhishek, Shweta had written, "We are shaped by the places we travel to, the people we eat with, and the books we read- to my Daadi, the giver of books, teller of bedtime stories, and gracious provider of trunks for her 6 grandchildren to use as a stage to dance on. Thinking of you today (pictured with @bachchan a chilled, ice filled, glass of Thumbs Up, and her trademark sunglasses)."

To mark International Women's Day 2021, Amitabh Bachchan had taken to his IG handle and had shared a collage to wish the women in his life. The collage had consisted of pictures of his late mother, Teji Bachchan, his wife, Jaya Bachchan, daughter, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and granddaughters, Navya Naveli Nanda and Aaradhya Bachchan. Along with the picture, Amitabh had written in Hindi, “Keh rahe hain aaj Women’s Day hai, Keval ek din? Na! Pratidin ‘Nari Diwas’”
In an episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati season 12, a contestant had shared his childhood story when he wanted to eat bhel but couldn’t afford due to financial constraint, Amitabh Bachchan had shared a similar incident from his childhood. Amitabh had recalled asking his mother, Teji Bachchan, for 2 rupees to join the school cricket team. He had revealed that he was denied the money as they couldn’t afford it. Reminiscing the incident, the actor had stated, "2 Rupees ka mulya kya hai woh aaj hume yaad ata hai.”
