Shweta Kawaatra, who rose to fame with the television serial, Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii, admitted that she was dealing with postpartum depression. Now, actress, Illa Arun recalled Shweta Kawaatra's postpartum depression phase, which she fought for five years. Illa also revealed that she had suicidal thoughts and was ready to kill herself.
Recently, Ila Arun was seen in a play based on postpartum depression called, Baby Blues. In an interaction with News18, Ila recalled Shweta's difficult journey. She shared her dear friend, Shweta Kawaatra had suffered for five years. She was even ready to kill herself. Ila further added that Shweta is better now and she is sharing her journey with the young mothers. She was quoted as saying:

"We have a very dear friend Shweta Kawaatra and she suffered for five years. She was ready to kill herself. Now, she has overcome her problems and is in a position where she can share her thoughts with young mothers. Becoming a mother is God’s blessing and it is very unfortunate that women have suffered because of hormonal, social, or emotional changes."

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Shweta talked about her postpartum depression. She shared that she was not just low but also had brain fog. She had panic attacks and would be angry for no reason. She used to feel helpless and had suicidal thoughts.
Shweta further added that she worked in the TV show, Baal Veer after gaining 30 kgs post delivering her daughter. She had no confidence left and isolated herself.
On the work front, Shweta was last seen in the show, Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat.
