For the unversed, Shweta Tiwari was married twice, but none of her relationships worked. And now, she is a working single mother to her kids! Shweta is blessed with two children, Palak Tiwari from her first wedding with her ex-husband, Raja Chaudhary, and Reyansh Kohli from Abhinav Kohli. Both the kids stay with her in Mumbai, and they share a beautiful bond with one another. Recently, Shweta's daughter, Palak, had hit millions of views on the music video, Bijlee Bijlee with Harrdy Sandhu!
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Shweta Tiwari talked about the double standards in society when it comes to public facilities for men and women. She shared that she enjoyed breastfeeding and added that she had faced trouble finding breastfeeding areas in public places. She said:
“I like breastfeeding. As a mother, I enjoy doing that. I was breastfeeding my son when he was three-and-a-half years old during Covid times. It’s such a taboo, airports don’t have breastfeeding areas. They have smoking areas, though. Ladies’ washrooms have a diaper changing area, but you won’t find them in men’s washrooms. Do only women travel with children?”
Shweta also shared that she doesn’t care about people's opinions and is happy to feed even in restaurants. Adding that she doesn’t care if she makes people uncomfortable by breastfeeding in public, Shweta said:
“I don’t know if it made anyone else uncomfortable. I’m not doing anything wrong. I’m not snorting drugs. I am feeding my hungry child. I have to do it. If someone is getting uncomfortable, I’m sorry, get up and go.”
Further in the interview, Shweta Tiwari revealed that she was very scared and uncomfortable with her stretch marks during her first pregnancy. Recalling the days, Shweta shared that every other day she used to ask her mother if she would get stretch marks or not. Sharing that her mother had told her that stretch marks are a sign that you've been through so much, Shweta added:
“I should not lie but when I was pregnant with Palak, I was very scared ki mujhe stretch marks aayega aur main baar baar apni maa ko kehti rehti thi ki maa mujhe stretch marks aajayega. Tab toh pata nahi tha na ki stretch marks toh kahi aur reason ke wajah se aa sakta tha so pregnancy hi stretch marks ka zariya tha, ye pata tha. Meri maa mujhe fir kehti ki ‘it’s okay, stretch marks aajayega toh kya that means you’ve gone through so much. Stretch marks aise hi nahi aa jata ki raat ko sou aur subha utho aur stretch marks aa gaya, stretch marks are good, koi problem nahi hai. You’re going to bring a human in this world toh it’s fine'."
