The wedding season seems to continue for the television celebrities. After Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla’s dreamy destination wedding, another couple who is all set to tie the knot is Masaan actress, Shweta Tripathi and her actor-rapper boyfriend of five years, Chaitnya Sharma. The pre-wedding festivities have kicked-off for the couple and the social media is filled with the pictures from Shweta’s bachelorette party. Since the wedding is just around the corner, Shweta had her fun-filled bachelorette before the pre-wedding festivities started. But her bachelorette was gatecrashed by her fiancé, Chaitnya. He took to his Instagram to share a picture from the bachelorette party, and captioned it, "This cutie is proof that someone up there loves me a lot. Can't believe I'm getting to marry this ball of happiness! Mr. and Mrs. Sharma- Coming soon."
Shweta and Chaitnya’s wedding will be a three-day celebration in Goa. Chaitnya said, “We want our guests to have a really good time so there will be a mehendi, followed by a party on June 27 for colleagues and friends who won’t be able to make it to Goa. As per the reports, Shweta will be wearing Sonam and Paras Modi-designed sharara for her mehendi, a floor-length Rebecca Dewan dress for the fun-filled pool party and Shubhika Davda lehenga for her wedding. Chaitnya will don a Shantanu and Nikhil outfit for the party on June 27 and a sherwani designed by Kunal Rawal for his big day.
Shweta Tripathi and Chaitnya Sharma will go on their honeymoon in August. Speaking about the same, Shweta shared, “One of our closest friends got married last year and we joined them on the last leg of their honeymoon in Madrid where we saw a Madrid vs Barcelona football match. About their wedding celebrations, Shweta revealed to Mid-Day, “I was sure of the names I wanted to be associated with my wedding. I knew, well in advance, who would handle the decor, photography, and attires. We have Devika Narain (who also designed Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli's wedding ceremonies) taking care of the decor. Stories by Joseph Radhik will be doing the photography, and Chai Productions is looking into the videos”.
She further revealed, “The secret of our chemistry is that we became one another's favourite person. We became best friends, and are now hopelessly in love. Getting married to him is my dream. So this wedding has to be the dream wedding”.
Shweta and Chaitnya announced their engagement in April by sharing a lovely video of the proposal. Speaking about the proposal, Shweta shared, “He proposed at a place called Cuckoo Club, which is a performing place in Mumbai. He wanted to do it on stage because that's how we met- for a play. He had told me he has a new play, so I went to see that... But it was the proposal.”

Speaking about their first encounter, Chaitnya revealed, “Toh mujhe pitch diya gaya tha ki, 'Ek play hai - Delhi mein rahengey, five star hotel, very cute girl being cast as a replacement (Single)! And I was like 'ON'. Before we got on to the flight he (the director) said ke, 'by the time we are back she should be your girlfriend.' Well it took a little longer than that, but yes eventually happened and now we are getting married.”
Further talking about their first fight, Chaitnya said, “We were talking about Haraamkhor, Masaan and her kind of cinema. And then we suddenly jumped to commercials and she passed this statement, like aisa some blanket statement about Shah Rukh Khan. I can't pinpoint what it was, and I was like 'Boss no! Shweta elaborated, “He was like, cute hongi tum, but not against Shahrukh Khan.” To which, Chaitnya added, “But then I think solving that fight, we realised how much we like each other.
