Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani are one of the most adorable couples in Bollywood. The duo's on-screen chemistry in the movie, Shershaah melted our hearts. Later, they became a real-life couple and tied the knot in 2023. Kiara and Sidharth's fans think that the couple actually came closer while shooting the film Shershaah. Moreover, on February 7, 2024, Kiara and Sidharth marked their first wedding anniversary. On this special day, let us go back to the time when the adorable couple revealed whether the movie, Shershaah played the matchmaker in their fairytale love story and brought them closer.
In an old interview with Filmfare, Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra were asked if the movie, Shershaah actually brought them closer. To this, Sidharth gave a rather diplomatic answer and said that while shooting for the film, Kiara learned a little bit of Punjabi language, which was the reason they came close. Sidharth shared that both of them were in Chandigarh when they were practising speaking in Punjabi, which was when they got culturally close. Sidharth can be quoted as saying:
"She is speaking a bit of Punjabi and that has gotten us closer. We were practicing speaking Punjabi in Chandigarh when we started, so culturally we have gotten closer."

Kiara Advani, on the other hand, gave an adorable reply to the question. The actress heaped praise on her then-co-star, Sidharth Malhotra, and stated that at first, she thought him to be a good-looking boy and fun person, but later, while working with him, she got to know how much of a professionally dedicated person Sidharth is. Kiara said:
"Before I worked with Sidharth on this film, I always thought he was this good-looking boy who is a great fun person. And as an actor I liked his work in Hassee Toh Phassee, Kapoor And Sons and a couple of his films. But working with him I realised that there is a side of him which he doesn't show to a lot of people or even if he does, I think that is yet to be explored by people who have not worked with him."
In the same interview, Kiara Advani also added that Sidharth Malhotra dreams of directing, making, and producing films, and he is also very passionate about his profession. Kiara added that Sidharth is a fun person on the set, but equally, he is someone who doesn't chat or chill behind the cameras, and rather, he likes to have an acting coach with him constantly on the sets. Kiara could be quoted as saying:
"He's passionate as an actor and as a film artiste because I know he dreams of directing, making, producing film. And I feel that he is very close to that because of his understanding of cinema and because he has worked as an AD. There are very few actors who are so driven and he is extremely focused on the set. He is not someone faffing about behind the monitor, chatting and chilling. He's fun on the set but he constantly likes to have an acting coach with him. They'd just jam together during the breaks and add certain nuances. I really thought he was just a pretty face before."
In the same interview, Sidharth Malhotra was asked about his perception of Kiara Advani. Answering the same, the Shershaah actor stated that he first met Kiara on the set of Lust Stories. Talking more about the same, Sidharth added that despite being an actress, Kiara had a very non-filmy vibe, which was similar to him as he is also not from a showbiz background. Sidharth also shared that his and Kiara's perspectives towards their work are almost similar, which was where they bonded. Speaking along the same lines, Sidharth added:
"We had met on the set of Lust Stories. She has worked for quite a few years and still has a very non-filmy vibe. She could be working in any other profession and I find that refreshing. Maybe because I don't come from this background myself. I come from a working class, middle class Punjabi household in Delhi. So, I find that refreshing and endearing at the same time. Looking at this from a very professional point of view, this is our job but we also have our lives and you need to balance that. Which is where we actually bonded - our attitude towards our work is quite similar."

On February 7, 2024, Sidharth took to her IG handle and, in a collaborative post with Kiara Advani, dropped an adorable photo as they marked one year of their marital bliss. In the photo, the duo could be seen riding horses on a sunny day, while twinning in white ensembles. While Kiara stunned in a ruffled top and teamed it with black pants, Sidharth looked dashing in a white t-shirt and grey pants. Sharing the post Sidharth penned a heartfelt caption and called his 'Ki' the best partner on this crazy ride, i.e., life.
