Television actor, Sidharth Shukla had passed away on September 2, 2021, due to cardiac arrest at the age of 40. While the late actor is still holding a special place in everyone's hearts, there's no doubt that he had developed a special bond with actress, Shehnaaz Gill. As per the latest reports, Shehnaaz will appear on the grand finale of the reality show, Bigg Boss 15 to pay a touching tribute to Sidharth.
Apart from Shehnaaz Gill, many music labels and artists had released numerous songs to pay an emotional tribute to the late actor, Sidharth Shukla. However, this is the first time since his demise when Sidharth's family released a statement regarding the release of any project or content that includes his name or face. The statement is doing rounds on the internet, and here's everything you need to know about it!

A few hours ago, television actor, late Sidharth Shukla's family released a strong statement in which they requested everyone to reach out to them before releasing any project that uses his name or face. The family also urged everyone to respect Sidharth's wishes and consent, as he isn't here to make his own decisions. It is everyone's responsibility to respect his choices. Another major point that Sidharth's family highlighted in their statement is that they don't want some specific projects to be released, the ones with which even Sidharth wasn't too pleased. The family also put Sidharth and Shehnaaz Gill's picture at the bottom of the statement. An excerpt from the official statement can be read as:
"We, as a family, come with a request, which we hope everyone will respect. Sidharth has moved on and no longer can he make decisions for himself, but he's still an integral part of our lives and our memories and we are there to protect his wishes. We request everyone who wants to use Sidharth's name and/or face in any project, please reach out to us. Please take a moment to ask us. We knew Sidharth's choices, we knew what he would have wanted and our decisions for him would be keeping all this in mind. And if there are projects that he wasn't happy with, we are sure he wouldn't want them released. From, The Shukla Family."
According to a report in ETimes, a source close to the family revealed that Sidharth Shukla's family released this statement after Vishal Kotian had reportedly informed them that he would soon release a song that Sidharth had shot before Bigg Boss 13. The source also added that Sidharth had refused to continue working on the song because he wasn't happy with it and had not wanted it to release. The source was quoted as saying:
"Sidharth had shot for this song before Bigg Boss 13, three years ago, and as Vishal claimed in one of his interviews, the song was left incomplete. The reason it was incomplete was because Sidharth wasn't happy with the shoot and never wanted it out."

Further in the report, the source also added that Sidharth Shukla had informed his family about the same, and they are very much aware of the song that Vishal Kotian is reportedly all set to release. However, Vishal and the music label are also extremely persistent in releasing the song against Sidharth's wishes and his family's will. The source further claimed:
"The family doesn't want the song to be released as it was Sidharth's wish too. But we hear that apparently neither Vishal, nor the music label sought permission. The family really doesn't want the song to be out respecting Sidharth's wishes but the makers and Vishal don't seem to care."
It'll be interesting to see whether Vishal Kotian will still release the unfinished project featuring Sidharth Shukla against the late actor's family's wishes.
