It's been 23 days, since the death of legendary singer, Sidhu Moose Wala. The entire world is weeping the loss. People from across the globe are paying their tribute to the 28-year-old Punjabi singer, who had taught us to spread love. Sidhu Moose Wala would often say that he wants to be on the world map and not just be famous in India. And his wish got completed after his death as the world is remembering him, rapper, Drake had given tribute to Sidhu Moose Wala on the first episode of his SiriusXM radio show, Table For One.
For the unversed, on May 29, 2022, Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified people in his village while he was travelling with his two friends. It had happened after the AAP government had reduced his security and had announced the same in a Twitter post. On May 31, 2022, he was cremated at his village, Jawaharke in Mansa District in Punjab and over lakhs of people had come to pay their last respect.
Those who had followed Sidhu Moose Wala's journey know that he had always believed in fulfilling his commitment. On June 18, 2022, he had committed a show performance and it was completed by his rakhi sister, Afsana Khan. The 28-year-old singer paid her heartfelt tribute to her late brother, Sidhu. She also sang the song, 'Kaha tum chale gaye'. Sharing a video from the event on her IG feed, Afsana wrote:
"Miss u bro always tribute to Vadda bhai @sidhu_moosewala. Mere bai da show main pura krke ayi aa. "
Afsana Khan was in deep shock after the news of Sidhu's death had come out. On June 11, 2022, Afsana Khan had shared a video to pay her respect to her big brother, Sidhu Moose Wala. Alongside it, in a heartmelting note, she had bared her heart out on how she would tell the world that they share the same birthday month. She had written:
"Main sub nu dasdi c 11 June sidhu bai da birthday 12 June Mera main bhut khush hoi c jado Mainu pata lga c main keha eh aa asli pyaar rabb toh ban ke aya behen praa wala. Jab khuda ne duniya ko banaya hoga, ek baat se ghabraya hoga, kaise rakhunga khayal apni behna ka, tab usne sabke liye ek bhai banaya hoga.Happy Birthday Big Brother I miss u mere sohneya veera @sidhu_moosewala always with me and in my heart."
Gippy Grewal's 15-year-old son, Shinda Grewal, who had a loving bond with Sidhu Moose Wala, had also given a heartmelting tribute to him. During Shinda's school graduation event, the little lad did his chachu, Sidhu's signature thappi step. In the video, we could see the same attitude that Sidhu had while he would give thappi.
