Late Punjabi singer, Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead on May 29, 2022, in Jawaharke village of Mansa district. It was just after a day when the centre revoked his security. Investigation into the unidentified assailants is ongoing even today. Undoubtedly, this was one of the most toughest times in the lives of his parents, Charan Kaur and Balkaur Singh. And after a long battle of emotions, they finally welcomed Sidhu's sibling into their world. But Charan and Balkaur's age, in this matter, became a huge hurdle.
Even though the birth of the late Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, aka Sidhu Moosewala's sibling, reduced the gap created by his untimely demise in their family, his parents have been alleged to have violated IVF rules to welcome the baby. As per multiple reports, the centre sought a report from the Punjab government on the alleged violation of the IVF age limit by Sidhu’s parents, Charan Kaur (58) and Balkaur Singh (60). A notice talking about the same matter revealed:

Talking about the same matter in an interview with the Hindu, IVF expert, Archana Dhawan Bajaj opened up about the importance of conceiving within the age limit of 50 years. She also revealed that the age group of 25-35 is the best time to conceive. Elaborating on the importance of it, she shared, “Ageing brings along various ailments, including blood pressure, diabetes and heart diseases, and the child must have reasonable parental support time." Talking in the same line, senior gynaecologist, La femme and Rosewalk Hospital, Delhi, Shelli Singh added:
“In case a woman wishes to avail of ART services beyond this age, she must have a detailed medical and physical examination, including verification of good mental health. The couple must have insurance for the unborn child, and also clear-cut guidelines as to who will be the legal guardian of the child in case they die and are thus unable to take care of the child.’’

"Due to the blessings of Waheguru, we got our Shubhdeep (Sidhu Moosewala) back. However, the government has been harassing me since morning, asking me to furnish documents of the baby. They are questioning me to prove that this child is legal. I want to request the government, particularly chief minister Bhagwant Mann, to till the treatment of my wife gets over. I belong here and will come to any place you call me (for questioning)…I will provide all the legal documents."
