Popular actress, Simi Garewal created a stir among Bollywood buffs with her celebrity chat show, Rendezvous With Simi Garewal, which began way back in 2000. Fast forward to today, the show is still considered one of the most loved celebrity chat shows on television. Graced by the who's who from the world of entertainment, politics, and sports, the show kept the audience entertained with lesser-known facts about a celebrity's personal life.
Even now, Simi Garewal keeps posting small clips from throwback interviews, leaving her fans in nostalgia. Recently, the actress shared an old video of Tennis player, Mahesh Bhupathi and his first wife, Shvetha Jaishankar on her IG handle. In the video, Shvetha was dressed in a pretty red bandhani saree and a sleeveless blouse, while Mahesh looked dapper in a grey-hued pantsuit.

Alongside the video, Simi mentioned that the rendezvous video with Mahesh Bhupathi and Shvetha Jaishankar was from the first year of their marriage. However, she added that the former couple couldn't make it to the end and got separated. Simi also stated how Mahesh and Shvetha eventually found their respective life partners and are living a content life now and penned:
“This rendezvous with Mahesh & Shvetha was in the first year of their marriage. Both lovely people who couldn’t carry through in the end.. A day after Mahesh married Lara Dutta, Shvetha tied the knot with Chennai businessman Raghu Kailas. The journey to find your soul mate is not always easy. But now both couples have found their life partners.. & their happiness.”

As soon as Simi Garewal shared the clip, people were quick to react. However, the throwback video didn’t go well with a section of society, and they criticised the actress for putting it out when Mahesh and Shvetha are no longer together. Reacting to the video, a user penned that Simi should not have put the former couple's lows in public and open up old wounds, as the duo has moved on. The comment can be read as:
"Shouldn't be putting lows of someone's life out there.. they have long moved on,why to touch those strings?"
However, being a vocal personality, the talk show host, Simi Garewal reacted to the comment and said that it’s sad to see how people are quick to form a judgment. However, she also revealed that her intention was to point out that one can learn a lot from human experiences. Simi wrote:
“Thank you. I appreciate your post. People are so quick to judge without even reading the entire post! These are real life stories.. We gain from learning about human experiences..(with happy endings).”

For the unversed, Mahesh Bhupathi and Shvetha Jaishankar got divorced in 2009 after a marital bliss of seven years. Later, Mahesh got married to actress, Lara Dutta on February 16, 2011, while Shvetha went on to tie the knot with Chennai-based businessman, Raghu Kailas, in the same year. It was on January 20, 2012, when Mahesh and Lara were blessed with a little angel, Saira Bhupati.
